Seimui pritarus Švietimo įstatymo pataisoms, atidedamas reikalavimas dešimtokams, siekiantiems tęsti mokymąsi gimnazijoje, už pagrindinio ugdymo pasiekimų patikrinimą (PUPP) gauti bent ketvertą. Ši naujovė įsigalios nuo 2026–2027 mokslo metų ir bus aktuali šiemet rudenį aštuntą klasę pradėsiantiems mokinimas.
PUPP „slenkstis“ turėjo būti pradėtas taikyti jau ateinančiais mokslo metais.
„Atsižvelgiant į švietimo bendruomenės nuogąstavimus ir siekiant, kad moksleiviai turėtų daugiau laiko pasiruošti, ankstesnis sprendimas peržiūrėtas. 2025 m. PUPP bus pirmą kartą organizuojami pagal atnaujintas pagrindinio ugdymo programas. Todėl atidėjus PUPP „slenksčio“ įgyvendinimą mokiniai ir mokytojai turės daugiau laiko susipažinti su pokyčiais pagrindinio ugdymo pasiekimo užduotyse ir programose bei tinkamai pasiruošti šiems patikrinimams. Be to, tai leis tolygiau išlyginti turinio ugdymo skirtumus tarp ankstesnių ir atnaujintų bendrojo ugdymo programų“, – sako laikinai švietimo, mokslo ir sporto ministrės pareigas einanti Radvilė Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė.
Tikrinamieji PUPP dalykai yra lietuvių kalba ir literatūra, matematika bei gimtoji kalba ir literatūra mokiniams, kurie mokosi mokyklose tautinių mažumų kalba.
Dar dvejus mokslo metus tvarka nesikeis – pagrindinis išsilavinimas įgyjamas baigus pagrindinio ugdymo programą ir patikrinus mokymosi pasiekimus.
Nuo 2026–2027 mokslo metų dešimtokai pagrindinį išsilavinimą įgys baigę pagrindinio ugdymo programą ir išlaikę PUPP bent 4 balais iš 10. Neišlaikius patikrinimo, bus galima pagilinti žinias ir perlaikyti PUPP tais pačiais mokslo metais, kartoti 10 (arba II gimnazijos) klasės kursą savo mokykloje ar kitoje pasirinktoje ugdymo įstaigoje, arba rinktis mokymąsi profesinio mokymo programoje ir įgyti kvalifikaciją arba pagrindinį išsilavinimą ir kvalifikaciją.
