Vidaus reikalų ministrė Agnė Bilotaitė dalyvavo VRM kuriamų Jungtinių specialiųjų pajėgų pristatyme. Renginio metu buvo pademonstruotos specialiųjų pajėgų operacinės galimybės – gelbėjimas po teroristinio išpuolio, sprogmenų aptikimas ir neutralizavimas, pastato šturmas, naudojant aviacijos paramą.
Šiomis specialiosiomis pajėgomis siekiama sustiprinti šalies pasirengimą atremti nekonvencines, hibridines ir kitas valstybės saugumui kylančias grėsmes.
Anot ministrės A. Bilotaitės, šias pajėgas sudarys Viešojo saugumo tarnybos Operatyvaus reagavimo kontratakos komanda, Valstybės sienos apsaugos tarnybos Specialiosios paskirties skyrius ir Policijos departamento Antiteroristinių operacijų rinktinė „Aras“.
„Pasikeitus saugumo situacijai regione būtina ieškoti bendros tarnybų sąveikos galimybių, todėl neabejojame, kad ši VRM Jungtinių specialiųjų pajėgų platforma bus dar vienas elementas stiprinant mūsų parengtį ir atsparumą. Skirtingų VRM įstaigų specialiosios pajėgos galės veikti kartu ir vykdyti bendras užduotis. Taip pat užtikrinsime ir operacinį greitį – kol, esant reikalui, į pagalbą būtų pasitelkta Lietuvos kariuomenė“, – sako vidaus reikalų ministrė.
