2023 m. lapkričio 23 d. Lietuvos ambasadoje Prancūzijoje paminėta Lietuvos kariuomenės diena. Šia proga ambasadoje atidaryta paroda „Karas po karo: ginkluotasis antisovietinis pasipriešinimas Lietuvoje 1944–1953 m.“, kuri gausiai susirinkusiems dalyviams priminė Lietuvos partizanų kovą už laisvę po Antrojo pasaulinio karo.
„Ne kiekviena taika yra teisinga taika. Po Antrojo pasaulinio karo Lietuvai taika reiškė 50 metų okupaciją, didelius trėmimus į Sibirą ir partizanų ginkluotą kovą už mūsų laisvę“, – susirinkusiems svečiams sakė Lietuvos ambasadorius Prancūzijoje Nerijus Aleksiejūnas.
Parodoje „Karas po karo: ginkluotasis antisovietinis pasipriešinimas Lietuvoje 1944–1953 m.“ pasakojama apie Lietuvos laisvės kovos sąjūdį, bendros vadovybės kūrimą, karinę organizaciją ir veiklą. Eksponuojama partizaninio laikotarpio nuotraukos ir dokumentai paimti iš Genocido aukų muziejaus rinkinių. Šią parodą surengti Lietuvos ambasadoje Prancūzijoje padėjo Lietuvos kariuomenės žurnalo „KARYS“ redakcija.
Iškilmingame minėjime taip pat Lietuvos Respublikos Krašto apsaugos ministerijos medaliu už nuopelnus buvo apdovanotas Prancūzijos pulkininkas leitenantas Christophe Nave, kuris 2019-2022 metais ėjo NATO Energetinio saugumo kompetencijos centro direktoriaus pavaduotojo – štabo viršininko pareigas.
