Liepos 6 dieną Lietuvos Respublikos nuolatinės atstovybės Ženevoje vadovas ambasadorius Darius Staniulis Lietuvos delegacijos vardu pasisakė šiandien prasidėjusioje Pasaulio intelektinės nuosavybės organizacijos (toliau – PINO) 64-joje Generalinėje Asamblėjoje.
Delegacijos vadovas išreiškė solidarumą su Ukraina, pažymėdamas, kad Lietuva griežtai smerkia neišprovokuotą ir nepateisinamą Rusijos karinę agresiją prieš Ukrainą. Šiais veiksmais Rusija šiurkščiai pažeidžia tarptautinę teisę.
Savo pasisakyme delegacijos vadovas atkreipė Generalinės Asamblėjos dalyvių dėmesį į tai, kad Rusija vienašališkai priėmė nacionalinius teisės aktus, kuriais įteisinami tarptautinių sutarčių intelektinės nuosavybės srityje pažeidimai, ir pabrėžė, kad pasaulinė intelektinės nuosavybės bendruomenė neturėtų ignoruoti tokių veiksmų ir apriboti naudojimąsi PINO teikiama nauda. Šiuo aspektu rimtą susirūpinimą kelia PINO finansavimo skyrimas išorės biurui Rusijos Federacijoje ir paties biuro veikimo teisėtumas ir pagrįstumas.
Atkreipdama dėmesį į praėjusių metų PINO Generalinės Asamblėjos metu priimtą sprendimą dėl pagalbos ir paramos Ukrainos inovacijų ir kūrybiškumo sektoriui bei intelektinės nuosavybės sistemai, Lietuvos delegacija pasveikino PINO Generalinio direktoriaus pristatytą ataskaitą dėl šio sprendimo įgyvendinimo ir įsipareigojimą teikti tolesnę pagalbą ir paramą Ukrainai, mažinant žalingus Rusijos agresijos karo prieš Ukrainą padarinius.
Lietuvos delegacija pabrėžė, kad inovacijų skatinimas ir intelektinės nuosavybės apsauga visada buvo Lietuvos Vyriausybės prioritetas. Prieš kelis metus Vyriausybė patvirtino Intelektinės nuosavybės plėtros programą, kurios tikslas – skatinti intelektinės nuosavybės kūrimą ir naudojimą, užkirsti kelią intelektinės nuosavybės pažeidimams ir didinti visuomenės sąmoningumą.
Taip pat delegacija dėkojo PINO už itin glaudų bendradarbiavimą intelektinės nuosavybės skatinimo ir apsaugos srityje. Vienas sėkmingiausių pastarųjų metų tarptautinio ir regioninio bendradarbiavimo pavyzdžių – praėjusiais metais įgyvendintas Baltijos šalių technologijų perdavimo centrų tinklo (TTO) projektas. Juo siekiama stiprinti trijų Baltijos šalių universitetų bendradarbiavimą, apjungti žinių ir technologijų perdavimo ekspertus, remti mokslo ir verslo bendradarbiavimu pagrįstas inovacijas.
Generalinė Asamblėja yra aukščiausias PINO valdymo organas. Jos metu sprendžiami svarbiausi šios organizacijos valdymo, teisėkūros, planavimo ir biudžeto klausimai.
PINO Generalinės Asamblėjos 64-oji sesija vyksta 2023 m. liepos 6–14 d. Ženevoje. Lietuvą šioje asamblėjoje atstovauja delegacija, susidedanti iš Kultūros ministerijos, Valstybinio patentų biuro ir Lietuvos Respublikos nuolatinės atstovybės prie Jungtinių Tautų biuro ir kitų tarptautinių organizacijų Ženevoje atstovų.
