Lietuvos valstybės sienos su Baltarusija ruože pradedami pasienio patrulio tako, einančio šalia fizinio barjero ir kontrolinės pėdsakų juostos, atnaujinimo darbai.
Pasak vidaus reikalų ministrės Agnės Bilotaitės, modernus patrulio takas padės efektyviau stebėti valstybės sieną, užtikrinti operatyvesnį pareigūnų reagavimą į sienos pažeidimus ir fizinio barjero gadinimo atvejus.
„Investicijos į sienos apsaugą atsiperka ne tik užkardant neteisėtą migraciją, bet ir kovojant su kontrabanda. Pastaraisiais metais valstybės sienos apsauga su Rusija ir Baltarusija sustiprinta maksimaliai. Fizinis barjeras, modernus sienos stebėjimas, o dabar – ir patrulio tako įrengimas, užtikrins visišką sienos apsaugą ir kontrolę. Lietuva demonstruoja aukščiausią ES išorės sienos apsaugos standartą“, – sako ministrė A. Bilotaitė.
Šiuo metu patrulio tako įrengta apie 5 km. Pirmajame darbų etape planuojama įrengti apie 100 km pasienio patrulio tako. Jei bus papildomas finansavimas, patrulio tako įrengimo darbai bus tęsiami dar 253 km pasienio su Baltarusija ruože.
Patrulio takas bus iki 3,5 m pločio, pagal galimybes jis bus pritaikytas eiti pėsčiomis, važiuoti visureigiu, keturračiu bei naudotis kita specialiąja technika.
Pasienio patrulio tako įrengimas yra tęstinis ES išorinės sienos apsaugos stiprinimo projektas.
Šis projektas finansuojamas pagal Sienų valdymo ir vizų politikos finansinės paramos priemonės, įtrauktos į Integruoto sienų valdymo fondą, 2021 – 2027 m. programą. Projekto vertė – apie 10 mln. eurų. 75 % projekto sumos sudaro ES lėšos, kita dalis – 25% finansuojama iš valstybės biudžeto.
Pagal projektą darbus numatyta baigti per 2023 m., tačiau dėl užtrukusių viešųjų pirkimų procedūrų darbai, tikėtina, persikels į 2024 m.
Pasienio patrulio takas yra daugelyje Europos Sąjungos valstybių narių, kurios turi ES išorės sienas.
„Patikima valstybės sienos apsauga yra vienas nacionalinio saugumo užtikrinimo prioritetų, todėl tam skiriame ypatingą dėmesį. Lietuvos ir ES išorės siena šiuo metu yra moderniausia ir patikimiausiai kontroliuojamų ES ir Šengeno valstybių bendrijoje“, – sako Valstybės sienos apsaugos tarnybos vadas Rustamas Liubajevas.
VSAT ir Vidaus reikalų ministerijos pastangomis Lietuvos pasienyje su Baltarusija per metus įrengta 530 km tvoros ir 360 km koncertinos barjero.
Taip pat moderniomis sienos stebėjimo sistemomis stebimas visas pasienio su Baltarusija ruožas. Dar 2022 metų pradžioje sistemų pagalba buvo stebima tik 53,3 proc. sienos su Baltarusija.
Kartu su įrengtu fiziniu barjeru visas ES išorės sienos perimetras (1073,36 km) 100 proc. stebimas moderniomis išmaniomis sistemomis.
Į pasienio infrastruktūros atnaujinimą iš viso investuota kiek daugiau nei 200 mln. eurų : fizinio barjero įrengimui skirta 148 mln. eurų, modernių stebėjimo sistemų diegimui – 41 mln., transporto ir technikos atnaujinimui 16 mln., o dabar – pasienio patrulio takui 10 mln. lėšų.
