Vidaus reikalų ministrė Agnė Bilotaitė dalyvavo iškilmingame atnaujinto Lietuvos Policijos stadiono Vilniuje, Kalnų parke atidaryme.
Policijos departamentas, siekdamas sudaryti kokybiškas sąlygas pareigūnams sportuoti ir tobulinti jų fizinį bei specialųjį pasirengimą, inicijavo stadiono kapitalinio remonto darbų projektą, kurio bendra vertė – 5,65 mln. Eur.
Anot ministrės A. Bilotaitės, stadionas – bene seniausias mieste, įrengtas dar 1925 metais (nuo 1998 m. priklauso Lietuvos policijai), todėl rekonstrukcija buvo ypatingai laukta ir reikalinga.
„Tinkamas pareigūnų aprūpinimas, kokybiško darbo vietos, orus atlygis bei sudarytos visos įmanomos sąlygos kvalifikacijos kėlimui, fizinio pasirengimo stiprinimui yra vienas svarbiausių VRM prioritetų. Tegul šis stadionas būna mūsų progreso ženklas ir dar vienas žingsnis šiuolaikiškos ir modernios policijos link. Džiaugiuosi, kad jį užplūs futbolininkai, krepšininkai ir iš esmės atnaujinta infrastruktūra mėgausis ne tik policijos bendruomenė, bet ir visi norintys” – sakė vidaus reikalų ministrė A. Bilotaitė.
Stadione buvo pilnai atnaujintos tribūnos, įrengtas apšvietimas, atnaujinti bėgimo takai, įrengta dirbtinė žolės danga. Į atnaujinimo darbus buvo įtraukti ir kiti, ne mažiau svarbūs darbai: stovėjimo aikštelės asfaltavimas, apželdinimas, tvorų keitimas ir kt.
Sąlygos policijos pareigūnų bendrojo fizinio pasirengimo pratyboms ir tokiam pasirengimui keliamų reikalavimų patikrinimui sudarytos visuose Lietuvos miestuose, dauguma komisariatų turi sporto sales, sudarytos galimybės naudotis sporto aikštėmis.
Per pastaruosius trejus metus Lietuvoje taip pat rekonstruoti 52 ir pastatyti 4 nauji policijos pastatai, o per pastaruosius ketverius metus policijos sistemos biudžetas išaugo 40 proc., arba beveik 100 mln. eurų.
