Sveikatos apsaugos ministerija (SAM) kviečia suskubti vairuotojus, dar neatnaujinusius vaistinėlių savo automobiliuose, ir primena, kad laiko tai padaryti liko visai nedaug – vaistinėlės privalo būti atnaujintos iki liepos 1 d. Įsigyti naujas vaistinėles privaloma tik tiems, kurie jas pirko iki 2019 metų sausio 1 d. ar neatsimena tikslios įsigijimo datos. Vairuotojams, kurių vaistinėlės buvo įsigytos po 2019 metų sausio 1 d., tereikia jas papildyti dviem turniketais.
Paskutinį kartą reikalavimai vaistinėlėms buvo atnaujinami prieš 18 metų. Nuo to laiko pirmosios pagalbos teikimo principai pasikeitė, gaivinimo ir kraujo stabdymo funkcijoms šiandien skiriamas didesnis dėmesys. Kiekviena minutė gali būti kritiškai svarbi sužeisto žmogaus sveikatai ar gyvybei, todėl, pasikonsultavusi su greitosios medicinos pagalbos atstovais ir įvertinusi jų siūlymus, kaip būtų galima padėti sunkiai sužeistiems žmonėms iki profesionalios pagalbos atvykimo, ministerija nusprendė papildyti pirmosios pagalbos vaistinėlių sudėtį.
Atnaujintus automobilių pirmosios pagalbos rinkinius papildė du turniketai, skirti arteriniam kraujavimui stabdyti, sterilūs spaudžiamieji tvarsčiai, vienkartinės medicininės pirštinės (4 vnt.), pirmosios pagalbos gaivinimo kaukės dirbtiniam kvėpavimui atlikti (2 vnt.) bei vienkartiniai šalčio maišeliai (2 vnt.).
Atsižvelgiant į atnaujintą vaistinėlių sudėti, buvo papildytos ir pirmosios pagalbos kursų programos. Kursų dalyviai jau yra mokomi naudotis turniketais ir kitomis priemonėmis, kurios naujai atsirado pirmosios pagalbos vaistinėlėse.

Medicinos priemonių atitikties vertinimo funkciją Lietuvoje atlieka Valstybinė akreditavimo sveikatos priežiūros veiklai tarnyba prie Sveikatos apsaugos ministerijos (VASPVT). Tarnyba periodiškai atlieka tikrinimus, ar Lietuvos rinkai tiekiamos medicinos priemonės atitinka teisės aktų reikalavimus. Patikrinimų metu renkama informacija iš gamintojų ir platintojų, taip pat iš šalių, kuriose yra registruotos medicinos priemonės, įgaliotų institucijų.
