Nuo kitų metų pradžios pacientams būtinų antibiotikų, kurie iki šiol buvo iš dalies kompensuojami tik vaikams ir socialiai remtiniems asmenims, bazinė kaina bus kompensuojama 100 proc. ir gydytojai galės juos skirti visiems pacientams, kurie atitinka preparato skyrimo sąlygas ir kompensuojamąsias indikacijas. Šie antibiotikai, įtraukti į kompensuojamųjų vaistų A sąrašą, galės būti skiriami ūminių viršutinių kvėpavimo takų infekcijų, ūminio bronchito, ausies infekcinių ligų, bakterijų sukeltų ligų, endokardito, odos ir paodžio audinių infekcinių ligų ir kitų ligų gydymui.
Didesniais įkainiais iš Privalomojo sveikatos draudimo fondo (PSDF) bus kompensuojami klausos aparatai, akies protezai ir ortodontiniai aparatai, taip pat insulino pompų nuoma I tipo cukriniu diabetu sergantiems pacientams, kuriems ji yra būtina sveikatos priežiūrai namuose užtikrinti.
Atsisakius perteklinių administracinių reikalavimų, lėtinėmis ligomis sergantys pacientai greičiau gaus jiems reikalingas paslaugas, o gydytojai turės pildyti mažiau dokumentų. Gydytojams nebereikės sudarinėti pacientų, kuriems vykdoma ilgalaikė sveikatos būklės stebėsena, sąrašų, o siuntimą gydytojo specialisto konsultacijai šeimos gydytojui pakaks išrašyti tik vieną kartą.
Trumpinti eiles pas šeimos gydytojus padės slaugytojų ir akušerių įgalinimas teikti savarankiškas konsultacijas pacientams, paskirti tyrimus, pakomentuoti tyrimų rezultatus, aptarti savikontrolės priemones, vaistų vartojimo ypatumus. Tam sudarė sąlygas sveikatos apsaugos ministro įsakymu nuo šių metų lapkričio 1 d. padidintos asmens sveikatos priežiūros paslaugų bazinės kainos. Tai reiškia, kad gydymo įstaigos gaus daugiau lėšų iš PSDF ir galės jas skirti darbuotojų darbo užmokesčiui didinti.
