Liepos 6–14 d. Astanoje, Kazachstane, įvykusioje 35-ojoje tarptautinėje biologijos olimpiadoje Lietuvos mokinių komanda iškovojo vieną sidabro ir tris bronzos medalius.
Sidabro medalį pelnė Vilniaus licėjaus III gimn. klasės mokinys Justas Miliauskas (mokytoja Alyda Daulenskienė).
Bronzos medaliais apdovanoti Varėnos „Ąžuolo“ gimnazijos III gimn. klasės mokinys Artūras Makselis (mokyt. Vida Stonienė), Kauno „Saulės“ gimnazijos abiturientas Ainis Lukša (mokyt. Laura Verikienė) bei Kauno technologijos universiteto gimnazijos abiturientė Ieva Petrauskaitė (mokyt. Mantas Palubinskas).
Olimpiadai vadovavo Vilniaus universiteto Gyvybės mokslų centro Biomokslų instituto docentas dr. Andrius Petrašiūnas, Vilniaus universiteto Biotechnologijos instituto Pavienių ląstelių analizės skyriaus doktorantas Dominykas Murza bei Vilniaus universiteto Gyvybės mokslų centro Biomokslų instituto asistentė Indrė Lapeikaitė.
2026 m. liepą Tarptautinė biologijos olimpiada vyks Lietuvoje, ją organizuos LINEŠA kartu su Vilniaus universitetu.
