Vidaus reikalų viceministras Arnoldas Abramavičius dalyvavo Europos Tarybos vietos ir regionų valdžios institucijų kongrese. Dvi dienas vykstančiose diskusijose daugiausia dėmesio skiriama iššūkiams, su kuriais šiandien susiduria demokratinių valstybių visuomenės.
Pasak viceministro A. Abramavičiaus, besitęsianti Rusijos agresija prieš Ukrainą, neteisėta migracija, demokratijos erozijos rizika, klimato kaita ir socialinė neteisybė – tai tik keletas iš svarbiausių klausimų, su kuriais susiduriame. Šie iššūkiai peržengia valstybių sienas ir reikalauja suderinto daugiapakopio valdymo metodo.
„Lietuvai susidūrus su instrumentalizuota migracija, o vėliau sutikus nuo karo bėgančius ukrainiečius, tapo aišku, kad būtinas glaudus valstybės ir vietos institucijų bendradarbiavimas. Taip bendradarbiaudami galime veiksmingai reaguoti į krizes ir kurti stipresnes, atsparesnes bendruomenes. Tvari regioninė politika nėra vien tik viešojo valdymo – tai ir nacionalinio saugumo reikalas“, – teigė vidaus reikalų viceministras.
Pasak viceministro A. Abramavičiaus, vietos valdžios institucijos yra demokratinių vertybių sergėtojai ir atlieka lemiamą vaidmenį kuriant įtraukią, tvarią ir atsparią visuomenę.
Lietuva regioninei politikai ir vietos savivaldai skiria ypatingą dėmesį. Vyriausybės patvirtintoje 2022–2030 m. Regioninės plėtros programoje suplanuotos investicijos siekia net 1,6 milijardo eurų.
„Ši programa yra svarbus žingsnis į priekį. Joje numatytas rekordinis Europos Sąjungos investicijų lygis. Tai didžiausia finansinė parama mūsų šaliai nuo Lietuvos įstojimo į Europos Sąjungą. Tai užtikrina, kad regioninė plėtra būtų pritaikyta konkretiems regionams ir mūsų bendruomenių poreikiams“, – teigė vidaus reikalų viceministras.
Viceministras A. Abramavičius, kalbėdamas kongreso dalyviams, taip pat išreiškė ypatingą pagarbą ir paramą Ukrainos delegacijai.
„Ukrainos tautos drąsa ir pasipriešinimas Rusijos agresijai pabrėžia demokratinių vertybių jėgą ir svarbą. Lietuva tvirtai remia Ukrainos valstybę, jos žmonėms ir vietos bei regionų valdžios institucijas. Mes ir toliau glaudžiai bendradarbiausime su Ukrainos institucijomis, siekdami užtikrinti, kad vietos savivaldos reforma būtų sėkminga“, – teigė viceministras A. Abramavičius.
Šiais metais Europos Tarybos Vietos ir regionų valdžios kongresas mini 30-metį, o pati Europos Taryba – 75-metį. Kongresas yra vienas iš renginių, kuriuose Lietuva pristatoma kaip pirmininkaujanti šalis. Šiuo metu Lietuva pirmininkauja Europos Tarybos Ministrų Komitetui, įsipareigodama bendradarbiauti išsaugant ir puoselėjant bendrąsias vertybes – žmogaus teises, demokratiją ir teisės viršenybę.
