Vyriausybė patvirtino atnaujinto Valstybės sienos apsaugos priedangos plano projektą.
Esant aukštam grėsmės lygiui atnaujintas priedangos planas užtikrins savalaikį ir operatyvų pajėgų pastiprinimą Lietuvos pasienyje ir tam nereikės papildomo tarpinstitucinio derinimo.
„Pasikeitus saugumo padėčiai regione, būtina priimti naujus sprendimus dėl mūsų valstybės sienos, kuri kartu yra ir Europos Sąjungos, ir NATO išorinė siena, apsaugos sustiprinimo. Atnaujintame Valstybės sienos apsaugos priedangos plane numatytos konkrečios pajėgumų apimtys pagal grėsmės lygius ir pagalba pasieniečiams keičiantis grėsmėms pasienyje“, – teigia vidaus reikalų viceministras Vitalij Dmitrijev.
Valstybės sienos apsaugos priedangos planas reglamentuoja išorės sienos ir vidaus sienos apsaugą, kai paskelbiami sustiprintos valstybės sienos apsaugos režimai ar jų lygiai.
Šiame plane nustatyti kriterijai pagal grėsmių lygius, kada ir kokia apimtimi pasitelkiama Lietuvos kariuomenė, Šaulių sąjunga, kitos atsakingos žvalgybos institucijos ir tarnybos.
Plano tikslas – kompleksinėmis priemonėmis ir koordinuotais tarpinstituciniais ir (arba) tarptautiniais veiksmais operatyviai ir proporcingai reaguoti į kylančias ar susidariusias grėsmes Lietuvos Respublikos nacionaliniam bei valstybės sienos saugumui, užtikrinti patikimą valstybės sienos apsaugą ir valstybės sienos kirtimo kontrolę.
Valstybės sienos apsaugos priedangos planas, kaip teisinis įrankis, numatytas Lietuvos Respublikos valstybės sienos ir jos apsaugos įstatyme ir Krašto apsaugos sistemos organizavimo ir karo tarnybos įstatyme.
