Balandžio 22–24 d. Vidaus reikalų ministerijoje (VRM) lankėsi Europos Komisijos (ES) Regioninės ir miestų politikos generalinio direktorato atstovai. Susitikimo metu aptarti Interreg Lietuvos ir Lenkijos bendradarbiavimo per sieną programos, kurios įgyvendinimą koordinuoja VRM, aktualūs klausimai, planuojamos veiklos ir Lietuvos pasienio regionų poreikiai bei plėtros iššūkiai, besikeičiant saugumo situacijai regione.
„Šiuo nepaprastu mūsų šalims ir regionui laikotarpiu turime dar labiau stiprinti saugumą ir bendradarbiavimą, perdėlioti finansavimo prioritetus, peržiūrėti nauju žvilgsniu regionų poreikius ir plėtrą, kad programos veiklos vyktų atliepiant tai, kas šiuo metu yra svarbiausia“, – sako vidaus reikalų viceministras Arnoldas Abramavičius.
Anot viceministro, 2021–2027 m. ES finansavimo laikotarpiu šios programos biudžetas siekia100 mln. eur, įvykę trys kvietimai teikti projektų paraiškas, pasirašytos pirmosios finansavimo sutartys. Gegužės mėnesį planuojamas dar vienas paraiškų teikimo kvietimas.
Susitikimuose su EK atstovais dalyvavo ne tik Vidaus reikalų ministerijos, bet ir VšĮ Jungtinio techninio sekretoriato, VšĮ Investuok Lietuvoje, Valstybės sienos apsaugos tarnybos prie VRM, Alytaus ir Tauragės regionų, taip pat Lenkijos Respublikos fondų plėtros ir regioninės politikos ministerijos atstovai.
EK atstovams išsamiau buvo pristatyti Interreg programos lėšomis finansuoti projektai Alytaus regione. Vėliau ES Regioninės ir miestų politikos generalinio direktorato atstovai planuotu vizitu lankė projekto partnerius Lenkijoje.
