Po ilgiau kaip parą trukusio tarptautinio Medininkų kontrolės punkto darbo sustabdymo sekmadienį 21 val. atnaujinamas automobilių ir asmenų eismas per jį abiem kryptimis.
Tokį sprendimą dėl punkto veiklos atnaujinimo Valstybės sienos apsaugos tarnyba (VSAT) priėmė Baltarusijos pasieniečiams sekmadienį apie 20 val. į savo teritoriją įsileidus 38-erių Pakistano pilietį.
Dar penktadienį vakare Lietuvos pasieniečiai nustatė, kad šis užsienietis į Lietuvą iš Baltarusijos bandė neteisėtai patekti maršrutiniu autobusu turėdamas suklastotus Rumunijos vairuotojo pažymėjimą ir tapatybės kortelę. Į Lietuvą jis buvo neįleistas, tačiau Baltarusijos pareigūnai atsisakė jį priimti atgal, kaip privaloma tokiais atvejais.
Nuo penktadienio vakaro iki sekmadienio vakaro užsienietis buvo prie abiejų valstybių sienos linijos neįleidžiamas Baltarusijos pusės. Kadangi asmens buvimas tokioje vietoje per ją vykstant intensyviems transporto srautams kėlė pavojų tiek jo paties, tiek viso eismo saugumui, o Baltarusijos pasieniečiai užsieniečiui neleido grįžti į savo teritoriją, nuo šeštadienio 13 val. VSAT laikinai sustabdė eismą per Medininkų kontrolės punktą.
