Švietimo, mokslo ir sporto ministras Gintautas Jakštas lankėsi Kačerginėje esančioje automobilių ir motociklų žiedinėje trasoje „Nemuno žiedas“. Susitikime su Lietuvos automobilių sporto, Lietuvos motociklų sporto federacijomis ir Lietuvos techninio sporto federacijų asociacija buvo aptarta „Nemuno žiedo“ vystymo ir plėtojimo vizija ir artimiausi darbai.
„Atsižvelgiant į sporto bendruomenės išsakytus poreikius, lūkesčius, sutariame, kad trasa turėtų būti atnaujinta etapais. Mūsų visų bendras tikslas – turėti Lietuvoje kokybišką automobilių ir motociklų trasą, kuri būtų profesionaliai prižiūrima, maksimaliai ir skaidriai įveiklinama ir saugi sportininkams“, – sakė ministras G. Jakštas.
Šįmet dalis trasos buvo išasfaltuota, kitąmet būtų planuojama atlikti dalį darbų, sporto bendruomenės įvardintų svarbiausiais ir susijusių su trasos saugumo didinimu, tai: tvarkoma dalis nuslydimo zonų, rengiami atitvarai, stebėjimo sistemos ir kt. Planuojama, kad 2024 m. parengus techninį projektą, būtų išdėlioti kiti darbų etapai, numatytos kasmetinės investicijos.
Vienintelė Lietuvoje automobilių ir motociklų žiedinė trasa „Nemuno žiedas“ įrengta 1961 m., nuo 1987 m. ji renovuota fragmentiškai.
Šįmet pavasarį tarpinstitucinį memorandumą dėl automobilių ir motociklų žiedinės lenktynių trasos „Nemuno žiedas“ rekonstrukcijos pasirašė ŠMSM, Susisiekimo ministerija, Kauno rajono savivaldybė ir Lietuvos techninio sporto federacijų asociacija. Renovuojant bazę siekiama sukurti saugią ir patrauklią nacionalinio ir regioninio lygio trasą, atitinkančią tarptautinius techninių sporto šakų standartus.
