Šių metų liepos 1 d. įsteigus vieningą nacionalinę Greitosios medicinos pagalbos (GMP) tarnybą, jau matyti pirmieji teigiami pokyčiai. Nuo liepos per penkis šių metų mėnesius įkuriamos 3 pastotės, iš kurių sezoninė Juodkrantės pastotė įkurta rugpjūtį, Ariogaloje oficialiai atidaroma šiandien, rugsėjo 29 d., o Birštone – pradės darbą iki šių metų pabaigos. Naujai įkurtose pastotėse budėsiančios greitosios medicinos pagalbos brigados bus arčiau šių vietovių GMP iškvietimo vietos, todėl gyventojams greitosios medicinos pagalbą suteiks greičiau.
Sveikatos apsaugos ministras Arūnas Dulkys teigia, kad vieningos Greitosios medicinos pagalbos tarnybos sukūrimas jau duoda teigiamą poveikį. „Pilkosios zonos, kai dešimtys tūkstančių gyventojų nesulaukdavo laiku pagalbos, pradedamos naikinti. Čia tikrai nesustosime, trys pastotės yra tik pirmi žingsniai į tolygų greitosios medicinos pagalbos teikimą visoje Lietuvoje“, – sako ministras.
Svarbiausi rodikliai, kurie lemia pastočių (GMP dislokavimo vieta) įkūrimo vietą yra toje vietovėje buvusių iškvietimų operatyvumas, gyventojų tankis, atstumas iki artimiausios pastotės, kvietimų pasiskirstymas. Pagal šiuos rodiklius nuspręsta įkurti pastotes Klaipėdos regione, vidurio ir pietų Lietuvoje. Įkūrimo procese aktyviai dalyvavo Klaipėdos GMP filialas, Birštono ir Raseinių miestų savivaldybės. Reikėjo surasti higienos normas ir būtinus GMP paslaugų teikimo reikalavimus atitinkančius pastatus, juos pritaikyti GMP darbui.
Įgyvendinant GMP reformą, pastočių palaipsniui bus įkurta dar daugiau. Šiuo metu jų yra 110. Artimiausiu metu numatyta įkurti pastotes Birštono mieste, Baisogaloje, Užventyje, Sedoje, Akademijoje ir Skaudvilėje.
Vieningai GMP tarnybai skirtos Europos Sąjungos investicijos siekia apie 50 mln. eurų. Jos bus panaudotos infrastruktūrai ir patalpoms atnaujinti, įskaitant naujus GMP automobilius su modernia įranga, skaitmenizavimui, GMP specialistų mokymams ir GMP vairuotojams perkvalifikuoti.
GMP tarnybos įkūrimas yra GMP reformos dalis. Naujosios tarnybos administracija veikia Kaune ir yra keturi regioniniai filialai: Vilniuje, Klaipėdoje, Panevėžyje ir Šiauliuose, kurie koordinuoja greitosios medicinos pagalbos brigadų veiklą visoje šalyje. Tarnyba vienija beveik tris tūkstančius darbuotojų – skubiosios medicinos pagalbos, slaugos specialistų, gydytojų, paramedikų, vairuotojų, kitų specialistų – ir yra viena iš didesnių darbdavių šalyje.
