Užsienio reikalų ministras Gabrielius Landsbergis pirmadienį pasirašė ministro įsakymą, kuriuo nuo spalio 19 dienos laikinai sustabdo Lietuvos Respublikos ambasadoriaus Jungtinėje Didžiosios Britanijos ir Šiaurės Airijos Karalystėje, Omano Sultonatui ir Portugalijai Eitvydo Bajarūno funkcijas iki kol bus atstatytas konstruktyvus ir produktyvus astovybės darbas.
Ministras įsakymu pavedė ambasadoriui E. Bajarūnui atlikti URM Strateginio valdymo ir analizės departamente funkcijas, susijusias su strategijos dėl transatlantinių santykių stiprinimo parengimu.
