Spalio 26 dieną ambasadorius Eduardas Borisovas Zagrebe įteikė skiriamuosius raštus Kroatijos prezidentui Zoranui Milanovičiui.
Po skiriamųjų raštų įteikimo ceremonijos vykusiame prezidento ir ambasadoriaus pokalbyje aptarti dvišalio bendradarbiavimo bei aktualiausi saugumo politikos klausimai. Kroatijos prezidentas akcentavo procesų Vakarų Balkanuose bei regiono europinės integracijos perspektyvų aktualumą. Lietuvos ambasadorius pažymėjo būtinybę priešintis Rusijos agresijai bei paramos Ukrainai svarbą. Aptarti aktualūs migracijos Vakarų Balkanuose ir Baltijos jūros regione klausimai.
Ambasadorius E.Borisovas yra antrasis Lietuvos ambasadorius, nuolat reziduojantis Kroatijoje. Nuo 2019 m. kovo iki 2023 m. rugpjūčio Lietuvos ambasadoriaus Kroatijoje pareigas ėjo Jūratė Raguckienė.
