Vasario 2 d. Vilniuje vyks vidaus reikalų ministrės Agnės Bilotaitės inicijuota tarptautinė konferencija „Moterys teisėsaugoje“. Joje bus aptarti moterų vaidmens ir lyčių lygybės teisėsaugos institucijose klausimai, ypatingą dėmesį skiriant mažam moterų skaičiui vadovaujančioje pareigose. Konferencijoje dalyvaus Europos Sąjungos (ES) vidaus reikalų komisarė Ylva Johansson, Vokietijos, Suomijos, Belgijos vidaus reikalų ministrės, Islandijos teisingumo ministrė, taip pat Europolo, Cepolo ir Europos lyčių lygybės instituto vadovės. Su ministrėmis atvyksiančios aukštas pareigas užimančios pareigūnės, tarp jų ir Islandijos policijos generalinė komisarė, dalinsis savo profesinio kelio istorijomis.
„Per pastaruosius du dešimtmečius, kai esame Europos Sąjungoje, moterų dalis Vidaus reikalų ministerijos statutinėse įstaigose išaugo dvigubai. Tačiau iki šiol nebuvo nė vienos aukščiausias pozicijas užimančios moters. Nors trečdalis šalies pareigūnų yra moterys, vadovų iš jų – vos 4 proc. Ir tai yra problema, kurią norime ir turime spręsti. Teigiama, kad moterims dalyvaujant sprendimų priėmime, valstybės yra saugesnės, ekonomikos auga sparčiau, o taika tampa ilgalaike“, – teigia ministrė A. Bilotaitė.
Lietuvoje yra apie 19 tūkst. teisėsaugos pareigūnų, iš jų – beveik 6000 moterų. Dauguma (15 tūkst.) teisėsaugos pareigūnų dirba Vidaus reikalų ministerijai pavaldžiose įstaigose. Didžiausia moterų dalis dirba Finansinių nusikaltimų tyrimo tarnyboje (50 proc.) ir policijoje (43 proc.). Mažiausiai – Viešojo saugumo tarnyboje (15 proc.) ir Priešgaisrinės apsaugos ir gelbėjimo departamente (8 proc.).
