Vidaus reikalų ministrė Agnė Bilotaitė susitiko su naujai paskirtu Lenkijos ambasadoriumi Lietuvai Konstanty Radziwill. Susitikimo metu aptarta geopolitinė situacija regione ir sienos apsaugos stiprinimo klausimai.
„Džiaugiuosi, kad Lietuvos ir Lenkijos santykiai kaip niekada geri. Pastarųjų metų iššūkius atlaikėme kartu – glaudžiai bendradarbiaudami tiek vidaus reikalų srityje, tiek tarptautinėje arenoje. Taip mums pavyko užtikrinti regiono saugumą ir stabilumą“, – sakė ministrė A. Bilotaitė.
Vidaus reikalų ministrė pristatė Lietuvos pasiekimus stiprinant ES išorės sienos apsaugą. Anot jos, tam pasitarnavo kompleksinės priemonės – žmogiškieji resursai, modernios sienos stebėjimo sistemos ir fizinis barjeras. Šiais metais, prie sienos apsaugos prisideda ir Valstybės sienos ir jos apsaugos įstatymo pakeitimo projektas, kuriuo įteisinamas neteisėtų migrantų neįleidimas pasienio ruože. Ateityje, siekiant padidinti pasieniečių reagavimo į incidentus greitį, pasienio ruože su Baltarusija planuojama įrengti patrulio taką.
Ministrė A. Bilotaitė pažymėjo, kad Astravo atominė elektrinė yra A. Lukašenkos režimo rankose ir tai verčia Lietuvą sutelkti visas jėgas ir būti pasirengus bet kokiam galimam scenarijui. Ministrė pasidžiaugė, kad šių metų kovo mėnesį Priešgaisrinės apsaugos ir gelbėjimo departamento pareigūnų grupė dalyvavo bendrose cheminių, biologinių, radiologinių ir branduolinių incidentų pratybose Lenkijoje.
