Šią savaitę į Nerį (Vilniaus raj.) ir Šventąją (Ukmergės raj.) paleista 1000 aštriašnipių eršketų metinukų. Visos paleistos žuvys pažymėtos išoriniais žymekliais, ant kurių yra šalies kodas, identifikacinis ir kontaktinis telefono numeris. Sugavus aštriašnipį eršketą prašoma paskambinti nurodytu numeriu. Suteikta informacija žuvivaisos specialistams ir mokslininkams padeda stebėti žuvų kelionę į Baltijos jūrą, sužinoti, kur ir kokiu greičiu migruoja ženklintos žuvys, kaip jos auga.
Vidutinis išleistų aštriašnipių eršketų svoris – apie 0,5 kg. Praėjus 15–20 metų, šių karališkų žuvų svoris gali siekti net iki 100 kilogramų. Subrendę aštriašnipiai eršketai, tikimasi, grįš į Lietuvos upes neršti. Kol tai įvyks, Rusnėje toliau sėkmingai formuojama motininė banda tolesniam dirbtiniam aštriašnipių eršketų veisimui Lietuvoje.
Aštriašnipiai eršketai užauginti Žuvininkystės tarnybos prie Žemės ūkio ministerijos Žuvivaisos departamento Vakarų regiono žuvivaisos skyriuje Rusnėje. Žuvų lervučių Žuvininkystės tarnybai praėjusiais metais dovanojo Vokietijos valstybinis žemės ūkio ir žuvininkystės tyrimų institutas, su kuriuo Žuvų išteklių atkūrimo skyriaus specialistai palaiko glaudžius ryšius.
Siekiant sėkmingai vykdyti aštriašnipių eršketų atkūrimo Baltijos jūroje programas, tarptautinis bendradarbiavimas yra ypač svarbus. Šiuo metu vienas svarbiausių projektų, vienijančių Baltijos šalis, yra „Baltijos eršketų apsaugos ir atkūrimo veiksmų planas“, kurio parengimą 2019 m. inicijavo Helsinkio komisija (HELCOM). Juo vadovaujantis rengiami visų įsitraukusių šalių vandens telkinių įžuvinimo aštriašnipiais eršketais planai.
Šiemet pagal patvirtintą Žuvų ir vėžių įveisimo į valstybinius vandens telkinius 2023 metų planą į Lietuvos upes numatyta įveisti apie 19 tūkst. įvairaus amžiaus aštriašnipių eršketų.
