Priešgaisrinės saugos srityje šiais metais saugiausia pripažinta Kupiškio rajono savivaldybė. Priešgaisrinės apsaugos ir gelbėjimo departamento (PAGD) jau trečią kartą rengiamame konkurse „Saugiausia savivaldybė“ antrąją vietą užėmė Akmenės rajono, o trečiąją – Visagino savivaldybė. Šiandien nugalėtojus Kupiškyje apdovanos vidaus reikalų ministrė Agnė Bilotaitė.
„Darome viską, kad žūstančiųjų gaisruose skaičius mažėtų. Nuosekliai siekiame tikslo, kad per metus gaisruose žūtų ne daugiau kaip 30 žmonių. Tačiau ypatingas vaidmuo čia tenka ir savivaldai bei jos požiūriui į savo gyventojų saugumą. Kupiškis, Akmenė ir Visaginas šiandien demonstruoja lyderystę“, – sakė ministrė A. Bilotaitė.
PAGD rengiamas konkursas skatina vietos savivaldą rūpintis gaisrų prevencija, aktyviau spręsti su gaisrine sauga susijusias problemas, puoselėti saugios gyvensenos ir saugos kultūrą, populiarinti pilietiškumo pavyzdžius, motyvuoti savivaldybių gyventojus pilietiškai ir savanoriškai veiklai gaisrinės saugos srityje.
Šiais metais konkurse dalyvavo visos 60 šalies savivaldybių. Jos buvo vertinamos pagal jų teritorijoje kilusių gaisrų ir žuvusiųjų gaisruose skaičių, gyvenamuosiuose būstuose įrengtų autonominių dūmų detektorių skaičių, už savivaldybės lėšas suremontuotų krosnių, dūmtraukių ir elektros instaliacijų skaičių.
Siekdama efektyvesnės gaisrų prevencijos, Vidaus reikalų ministerija šiuo metu baigia rengti Priešgaisrinės saugos įstatymo pakeitimus, kuriais ir toliau bus stiprinamas gaisrų prevencijos mechanizmas.
Planuojama daug aiškiau reglamentuoti institucijų (savivaldybių, ministerijų) atsakomybę, nustatyti nuoseklią gaisrų prevencijos planavimo ir poveikio vertinimo sistemą, taip pat stiprinti ugniagesių savanorių instrumentą, labiau įgalinat NVO sektorių.
Bus tobulinamas ir ugniagesių komandų tinklas, siekiant, kad ugniagesių komandų išdėstymas būtų paremtas objektyviais į riziką orientuotais kriterijais, o pagalba visus Lietuvos gyventojus pasiektų laiku.
