Šiandien Europos Sąjungos (ES) tarybai galutinai patvirtinus Migracijos ir prieglobsčio paktą (toliau – Paktas), prasideda valstybių narių, Europos Komisijos ir ES agentūrų pasiruošimas Pakto įgyvendinimui. Vidaus reikalų ministerija sudarė tarpinstitucinę darbo grupę, kuri nacionaliniu lygiu įvertins esamą migracijos ir prieglobsčio valdymo sistemą ir suderins ją su Pakto nuostatomis, įsigaliosiančiomis po 24 mėn.
„Europos Sąjungai pasiekus istorinį susitarimą dėl migracijos politikos reformos, prasideda 2 metų įgyvendinimo etapas. Siekiant užtikrinti sklandų ir savalaikį pasirengimą, drauge dirbs visos atsakingos institucijos“, – teigia vidaus reikalų viceministras Arnoldas Abramavičius.
Darbo grupei pavesta atsižvelgiant į Pakto nustatytą reglamentavimą įvertinti Lietuvos migracijos ir prieglobsčio valdymo sistemos pajėgumus, spragas ir poreikius, parengti nacionalinį Pakto įgyvendinimo planą ir koordinuoti atsakingų institucijų veiksmus. Darbo grupę sudaro 12 institucijų (6 ministerijų ir joms pavaldžių įstaigų) atstovai, jai vadovauja vidaus reikalų viceministras A. Abramavičius.
Balandžio 11 d. Europos Parlamentas priėmė Migracijos ir prieglobsčio paktą, kuriuo siekiama efektyviau valdyti migraciją ES. Po 8 metus trukusių derybų šalys sutarė dėl veiksmingos prieglobsčio procedūros, naujo solidarumo mechanizmo, supaprastintos grąžinimo tvarkos ir kitų elementų. Į Paktą įtrauktos ir Lietuvai aktualios ES lygmens atsako priemonės į migracijos instrumentalizavimą.
