2023 m. birželio 21–22 d. Lunde, Švedijoje susitiko Europos mokslinių tyrimų erdvės (EMTE) komitetas (ERAC). Susitikimo dalyviai aptarė dabartinės EMTE darbotvarkės įgyvendinimas Europos Sąjungos (ES) valstybėse narėse ir asocijuotose šalyse.
Pastebėta, kad EMTE darbotvarkės tikslai aktualūs ir nacionalinės politikos kontekste, tačiau daugelyje šalių trūksta resursų juos įgyvendinti, todėl siūlyta naujame etape mažinti EMTE veiklų skaičių.
Antrasis diskusijų blokas buvo susijęs su mokslinių tyrimų ir inovacijų globaliu aspektu, daugiausia dėmesio skirta mokslo diplomatijos ir bendradarbiavimo su Kinija klausimams aptarti. ERAC nariai sutiko, kad mokslo diplomatija gali turėti labai teigiamą poveikį ir atlikti svarbų vaidmenį kuriant Europos strateginę autonomiją bei kovojant su užsienio kišimusi. Valstybės narės tvirtai pritarė tolesniam strateginės informacijos apie Kiniją rinkimui.
ERAC nariai taip pat diskutavo apie mokslinių žinių svarbą ES politikoje, apie pasirengimą būsimajai bendrajai ES mokslinių tyrimų ir inovacijų programai bei pabrėžė koordinuoto požiūrio būtinybę ES ekonomikai svarbiausių žaliavų klausimu.
Lietuvai ERAC atstovauja Švietimo, mokslo ir sporto ministerijos Studijų, mokslo ir technologijų departamento direktorė Laima Taparauskienė.
