Lietuva, kartu su partneriais iš Vokietijos ir Lenkijos, buvo išrinkta įgyvendinti Europos Sąjungos (ES) programos Dvynių projektą „Sakartvelo rinkos priežiūros agentūros gebėjimų stiprinimas“. Valstybinė vartotojų teisių apsaugos tarnyba (VVTAT) projektą įgyvendins kaip vyresnysis partneris kartu su jaunesniaisiais partneriais: Lenkijos konkurencijos ir vartotojų apsaugos tarnyba bei Vokietijos ekonomikos reikalų ir klimato kaitos ministerija.
Projektą sudaro trys komponentai. Pirmasis komponentas skirtas teisės aktų peržiūrai ir rekomendacijoms dėl jų atitikties ES reikalavimams. Daugiausiai projekto veiklų planuojama institucijos darbuotojų gebėjimams tobulinti, tarptautiniam bendradarbiavimui stiprinimui ir IT sistemos rinkos priežiūros srityje gerinimui antrajame komponente. Trečiasis projekto komponentas skirtas vartotojų ir verslininkų švietimui ne maisto produktų rinkos priežiūros klausimais.
„Mūsų teikto pasiūlymo stiprybė – trijų šalių patirtis ir ekspertinės žinios. Tikimės, kad prie sėkmingo projekto įgyvendinimo prisidės draugiški dvišaliai Lietuvos ir Sakartvelo santykiai. Be to, Dvynių projektai atneša abipusią naudą institucijoms. Mums tai bus galimybė dar kartą įvertinti savo patirtį, pasiūlyti geriausius savo sprendimus bei patarti, kokių veiklų geriau nekartoti“, – teigė VVTAT direktorė ir minėto Dvynių projekto lyderė Goda Aleksaitė.
Tai dvyliktas lietuviškas Dvynių projektas Sakartvele. Numatyta Dvynių projekto pradžia – 2023 m. spalis. Projekto trukmė – 2 metai. Biudžetas 1,2 mln. eurų.
ES Dvynių programa remia skirtingų šalių giminingų institucijų bendradarbiavimą, stiprina šalių paramos gavėjų administravimo gebėjimus ir padeda joms įgyvendinti būtinas reformas. Lietuva per šią programą ekspertinę paramą teikia nuo 2004 metų ir yra laimėjusi 134 ES Dvynių projektus. Europos Komisijos duomenimis pastaraisiais metais Lietuva ES Dvynių programoje yra sėkmingiausių ES šalių penketuke.
