Vasario 2 dieną Lietuvos ambasadorius Prancūzijoje Nerijus Aleksiejūnas įteikė kredencinius raštus Maroko Karalystės užsienio reikalų, Afrikos bendradarbiavimo ir užsienyje gyvenančių marokiečių ministrui Nasser Bourita.
Ambasadorius N. Aleksiejūnas pažymėjo, kad dvišaliai Lietuvos Respublikos ir Maroko Karalystės santykiai yra geri ir bus toliau stiprinami. „Lietuvos ir Maroko bendradarbiavimas svarbus ne tik politiniais klausimais, bet turime didelį potencialą ir verslo ryšiams plėtoti“, – sakė Lietuvos Ambasadorius. Susitikimo metu aptartos galimybės artimiausiu metu surengti Lietuvos ir Maroko politines konsultacijas bei verslo forumą.
Vizito metu taip pat surengti Ambasadoriaus susitikimai su Maroko užsienio reikalų ministerijos Europos departamento direktoriumi Redouane Adghoghi, ES delegacijos vadove Rabate Patricia Llombart Cussac.
N. Aleksiejūnas yra penktasis Lietuvos ambasadorius Marokui, kuris reziduoja Paryžiuje. Lietuvos ir Maroko prekyba 2022 metais siekė 210 mln EUR.
