Rugsėjo 14 d. Vaidilos teatre įvyko Vidaus saugumo fondo 2014-2020 metų programos apdovanojimų renginys.
Vidaus reikalų viceministras Arnoldas Abramavičius pasidžiaugė sėkmingai įgyvendintais strateginiais projektais, kurie skirti sienos apsaugos stiprinimui, policijos bendradarbiavimui, tarpvalstybinio organizuoto nusikalstamumo bei terorizmo prevencijai.
„Gyvename nesaugioje kaimynystėje ir padidėjusių geopolitinių įtampų metu, todėl ypač svarbu stiprinti mūsų valstybės vidaus ir išorės saugumą. Džiaugiuosi, kad turime ne vieną sėkmingą šios programos projektą ir kiekvieno įgyvendinto projekto indėlis mūsų šalies saugumui yra vienodai reikšmingas ir svarbus“, – teigė viceministras Arnoldas Abramavičius
Vidaus saugumo fondo 2014-2020 metų programai buvo skirta maždaug 220 mln. eurų.
Praėjusiais metais Europos Komisija patvirtino naujo laikotarpio – 2021-2027 m. Vidaus saugumo fondo programą. Jos tikslas – padėti užtikrinti aukštą saugumo lygį Europos Sąjungoje vykdant nusikalstamumo ir kibernetinių nusikaltimų prevenciją, padėti nusikaltimų aukoms ir jas apsaugoti, pasirengti su saugumu susijusiems incidentams, rizikai ir krizėms.
Europos Sąjungos finansavimas padės užtikrinti aukštą saugumo lygį. Šiai programai įgyvendinti skirta 39 mln. eurų.
Renginyje pristatyta ir pernai Europos Komisijos patvirtinta Sienų valdymo ir vizų politikos finansinės paramos priemonė, įtraukta į Integruoto sienų valdymo fondą, 2021-2027 metų programą. Šiai programai įgyvendinti skirta net 300 mln. eurų.
Padidėjęs sienų valdymo ir bendros vizų politikos projektų finansavimas ypač aktualus mūsų valstybei šiuo sudėtingu laikotarpiu.
Išaugusių geopolitinių grėsmių mūsų regione akivaizdoje ši programa padės mums veiksmingai valdyti migracijos srautus. Bendroje vizų politikoje bus siekiama palengvinti teisėtą keliavimą bei sumažinti saugumo rizikas dėl neteisėtos migracijos.
