Šiandien Baltarusijos laikinajam reikalų patikėtiniui Lietuvoje įteikta Užsienio reikalų ministerijos nota, kuria Baltarusijos Respublikai išreikštas griežtas protestas dėl Lietuvos valstybės sienos pažeidimo ir sienos apsaugos infrastruktūros gadinimo atvejo, kai du asmenys šių metų rugpjūčio 22 dieną neteisėtai kirto valstybės sieną iš Baltarusijos į Lietuvą bei, galimai naudodami akumuliatorinius diskinius metalo pjūklus, nupjovė ir nugriovė ant žemės dvi iš Lietuvos pusės įrengtas vaizdo stebėjimo kamerų atramas, po to grįžo iš Lietuvos į Baltarusiją.
Incidentas įvyko Valstybės sienos apsaugos tarnybos Varėnos pasienio rinktinės Kabalių užkardos teritorijoje, netoli Musteikos kaimo, Varėnos rajone.
Užsienio reikalų ministerija griežtai pareikalavo iš Baltarusijos, kuo skubiau pateikti pasiaiškinimą dėl šio incidento ir imtis visų būtinų priemonių, kad ateityje tokie incidentai nepasikartotų.
