Vidaus reikalų viceministras Arnoldas Abramavičius su Europos Sąjungos (ES) valstybių narių ambasadoriais lankėsi Lietuvos ir Baltarusijos pasienyje, kur aptarė migracijos politikos klausimus ir būtinybę pritaikyti ES teisę prie dabarties ir ateities iššūkių. Ambasadoriams pristatyti Lietuvos pasiekimai stiprinant sienos su Baltarusija apsaugą.
Pasak viceministro A. Abramavičiaus, Lietuva turi aukščiausio lygio sienos apsaugos standartą, tačiau ginantis nuo hibridinių atakų būtina turėti ir teisines priemones ES lygmeniu.
„Bendrų pastangų su Europos Komisija dėka, šiandien Lietuva turi vieną iš moderniausių išorės sienų valdymo sistemų visoje ES. Tačiau to nepakanka, nes Lukašenkos režimas ir toliau naudoja migrantus savo tikslams. Negalima leisti priešiškoms valstybėms piktnaudžiauti tarptautine ir ES teise bei vertybėmis. Privalome parodyti Europos vienybę pritaikant ES sienų valdymo teisinę sistemą prie naujų realijų“, – teigė vidaus reikalų viceministras A. Abramavičius.
Valstybės sienos apsaugos tarnybos vadas ambasadorių delegacijai pristatė per mažiau nei metus įrengtą 529 km fizinį barjerą ir modernias stebėjimo sistemas – jomis jau stebima 100 proc. sienos su Baltarusija.
Po vizito į pasienį ES Tarybai pirmininkaujančios Švedijos ambasadoje vyko diskusija su vidaus reikalų ministre Agne Bilotaite. Ministrė aptarė priemones, kurių Lietuva ėmėsi siekdama užtikrinti nacionalinį saugumą ir kurios buvo ir tebėra veiksmingas atsakas į antrus metus besitęsiančią Lukašenkos režimo hibridinę ataką prieš Lietuvą ir visą ES.
Ministrė pabrėžė, kad toliau stiprinant sienos apsaugą, šiais metais planuojama įrengti patrulio taką. Jis leis pareigūnams operatyviau reaguoti į sienos pažeidimus ir fizinio barjero gadinimo atvejus, kurių užfiksuota jau apie 500. Pasak ministrės, investicijos į sienos apsaugą atsiperka ne tik užkardant neteisėtą migraciją, bet ir kovojant su kontrabanda. Patrulio tako projektas pareikalautų iki 60 mln. eurų investicijų, ministrė A. Bilotaitė jau kreipėsi į EK dėl finansinės paramos jo įrengimui.
Su ES valstybių narių ambasadoriais taip pat buvo aptartos ateities migracijos srautų tendencijos ir iššūkiai, pristatytas Valstybės sienos ir jos apsaugos įstatymo projektas, dėl kurio rytoj numatomas balsavimas Lietuvos Respublikos Seime.
