Kovo 20 dieną užsienio reikalų ministras Gabrielius Landsbergis susitiko Lenkijos užsienio reikalų ministru Radosławu Sikorskiu.
„Istorinė Lietuvos ir Lenkijos strateginė partnerystė tik stiprėja ir suteikia naują impulsą visai Europai“, – sakė G. Landsbergis, pabrėždamas abipusį sutarimą tęsti dialogą.
Ministrai taip pat aptarė būtinybę sutelkti bendraminčių pastangas ruošiantis Vašingtono viršūnių susitikimui bei siekiant kuo greitesnės Ukrainos integracijos į ES ir NATO.
Ministrai sutarė, kad būtina iš esmės keisti ilgalaikį vakarų požiūrį į Rusijos grėsmę, teikiant prioritetą jos visapusiškam sulaikymui.
„Viena iš priemonių susilpninti Rusiją ir pasiekti Ukrainos pergalę – dar labiau stiprinti sankcijas Rusijai ir Baltarusijai. Sieną su Rusija ir Baltarusija turinčios šalys turi laikytis vieningo sankcijų įgyvendinimo mechanizmo ir bendromis pastangomis užkirsti kelią jų apėjimui“, – susitikimo metu pažymėjo G. Landsbergis.
Ministrai taip pat aptarė būtinybę nevėluojant įgyvendinti kritinės infrastruktūros projektus, kurie stiprina ne tik Lietuvos ir Lenkijos ekonomiką, bet ir saugumo aplinką.
Lietuvos diplomatijos vadovas taip pat pakvietė R. Sikorskį atvykti į Lietuvos diplomatinių atstovybių vadovų metinį suvažiavimą.
