Už krizių valdymą atsakingas Europos Komisijos (EK) narys Janezas Lenarčičius rugsėjo 6 d. (penktadienį) atvyksta į Lietuvą, kur susitiks su vidaus reikalų ministre Agne Bilotaite ir dalyvaus jos iniciatyva Vilniuje pirmą kartą organizuojamame Regioniniame civilinės saugos forume.
Tarptautiniame regionui aktualiame renginyje dalyvaus devynių regiono šalių (Danijos, Estijos, Islandijos, Latvijos, Lenkijos, Norvegijos, Suomijos, Švedijos ir Ukrainos), nevyriausybinių organizacijų, savivaldos, mokslo ir verslo atstovai.
„Šiandien civilinė sauga yra aktualesnė nei bet kada anksčiau. Mūsų regiono šalys yra priešakinėse linijose ir dabartines grėsmes supranta geriau nei bet kas kitas. Per pastaruosius metus pasiekėme reikšmingų rezultatų, stiprindami civilinę saugą nacionaliniu lygiu. Tačiau atėjo laikas, kai turime apjungti pajėgumus ir veikti koordinuotai – tiek regiono, tiek visos Europos mastu. Forume diskutuosime dėl bendrų veiksmų, vieningų priemonių ir galimybių mūsų pastangas pastiprinti ES finansine parama. Tai leistų pagerinti regiono šalių pasirengimą krizėms ir didinti kolektyvinį atsparumą hibridinėms bei karinėms grėsmėms“, – teigia ministrė A. Bilotaitė.
Renginio darbotvarkėje – gyventojų perspėjimo sistemų, priedangų tinklų plėtros ir masinės evakuacijos klausimai. Pasak ministrės, šie civilinės saugos elementai ypatingai svarbūs, siekiant užtikrinti piliečių saugumą.
