Gegužės 25 dieną Lietuvos ambasadoje Australijoje besilankant Vilniaus Rotary delegacijai, pristatyta Akvilinos Cicėnaitės knyga „Anglų kalbos žodynas“, pelniusi 2022 Metų knygos apdovanojimą.
„Nors nuo tėvynės mus skiria daugiau nei 13 tūkstančių kilometrų, vis dažniau ir vis gausiau girdime lietuvių balsus ambasadoje. Be galo džiugu, kad šiandien galime susivienyti ir kartu susirinkti su įvairias istorijas turinčiais lietuviais – gimusiais ir toliau augusiais Lietuvoje, išvykusiais, ar jau gimusiais Australijoje, bet toliau puoselėjančiais kalbą ir lietuvybę – ir dalytis savo skirtingomis, bet tuo pačiu bendromis, patirtimis“, – teigė ambasadorius Darius Degutis.
Išgirsti knygos pristatymą ir pristatyti savo veiklą susirinko tris Vilniaus Rotary klubus atstovaujanti – „Šv. Kristoforo“, „Perkūno“ ir „Lituanica International“ – delegacija.
Visos Lietuvos Rotary Apygardos valdytoja Jurgita Turulienė išskyrė pagrindines šių metų klubo iniciatyvas, orientuotas į socialinės atskirties mažinimą, gabių vaikų rėmimą ir paramą Ukrainai, įgyvendintus ir numatomus darbus. Pasak jos, apsilankymo Australijoje metu, klubo nariams buvo svarbu susitikti su Lietuvos išeivijos atstovais ir pasidžiaugti lietuvybės puoselėjimu Australijoje, paminint 75 metų imigracijos į šią šalį sukaktį.
Išeivijos istoriją, dabartines bendruomenes ir jų veiklą pristatė Australijos lietuvių bendruomenės pirmininkė Rasa Mauragienė, atskleidusi, kiek gi iš tiesų skirtingų kartų lietuvių gyvena Australijoje, ir papasakojusi apie vieną garsiausių jų – Pietų Australijos premjerą Peter Malinauskas.
Daugiau nei dešimt metų Sidnėjuje gyvenanti ir į Kanberą knygos pristatyti atvykusi autorė Akvilina Cicėnaitė kalbėjo apie australų ir lietuvių kultūrinius skirtumus, žmogaus santykį su kalba. Visgi svarbiausias ir diskusiją iškėlęs klausimas – namų paieška.
Autorės santykis bei pasakojimas apie Vilnių atliepė ir auditorijos jausmus. Savo matymu ir patirtimi dalijosi tiek Rotary klubo nariai, tiek susirinkę Australijos lietuviai.
Kanberos lietuviai, gimę ne Lietuvoje, dalijosi prisiminimais apie pirmas keliones į Lietuvą. Pasak vienos bendruomenės narių, tik pirmą kartą atvykusi į Lietuvą 1993 metais ir apsupta bendros kalbos suvokė vietos prasmę, kurios nerado Australijoje. Pokalbyje dalyvavę, tačiau patys lietuviškų šaknų neturintys lietuvių sutuoktiniai, pritarė – ir jiems Vilnius kaskart atvykus sukelia panašesnį jausmą į namus, miesto su širdimi jausmą.
Tai jau ketvirtoji verslo delegacija, kurią šiais metais priėmė Lietuvos ambasada Australijoje. Siekdama vystyti dvišalius ekonominius santykius, ambasada organizuoja įvairiausius susitikimus, padeda verslininkams rasti partnerius, užmegzti reikalingus kontaktus.
