Lietuvos pensininkų asociacija „Bočiai“ jau 33-us metus telkia vyresnio amžiaus žmones Lietuvoje bei skatina juos veikti, tokiu būdu populiarindama aktyvų senėjimą, vyresnio amžiaus žmonių įtrauktį į visuomenę, taip pat puoselėdama kultūrą bei tradicijas. Asociacija kartu su savo bendrijomis, kurių yra 41-a, aktyviai veikia bei nenuilstamai plečiasi visoje Lietuvoje.
„Daugėjant vyresnio amžiaus žmonių, mums reikia stiprių, iniciatyvių ir vienijančių vyresnio amžiaus žmones nevyriausybinių organizacijų, o tokių tikrai netrūksta. Lietuvoje, kaip ir daugelyje pasaulio valstybių, vyksta visuomenės senėjimo procesas – didėja vyresnio amžiaus žmonių dalis bendroje gyventojų struktūroje. Per pastarąjį dešimtmetį pagyvenusių žmonių skaičius šalyje padidėjo daugiau nei 2 procentais.
Motyvacija būti aktyviais ir dalyvauti visuomeniniame gyvenime yra vienas iš svarbesnių senjorų gyvenimo kokybę lemiančių veiksnių. Jungtinių Tautų Madrido veiksmų plane dėl senėjimo pabrėžiama, kad svarbu vyresnio amžiaus žmonėms suteikti galimybę prisidėti prie visuomenės vystymosi bei užtikrinti, kad jie turėtų galimybę dalyvauti sprendimų priėmimo procesuose visais lygmenimis. Siekis užtikrinti vyresnio amžiaus žmonių dalyvavimą socialiniame ir politiniame gyvenime, jų darbo ir pilietinio aktyvumo priemonių svarba taip pat akcentuojama ir aštuonioliktos Vyriausybės programoje.
Kartu su EBPO ekspertais buvo įgyvendinamas Europos Komisijos remiamas projektas, kurio tikslas – sukurti palankių galimybių vyresnio amžiaus žmonėms integruotis į socialinį, politinį, kultūrinį gyvenimą ir dalyvauti darbinėje veikloje modelį. Remiami vyresnio amžiaus žmonėms atstovaujančių ir su jais dirbančių nevyriausybinių organizacijų projektai.
Ieškant naujų formų ir metodų stiprinti tarpinstitucinį bendradarbiavimą bei vyresnio amžiaus žmonių įtrauktį ir dalyvavimą sprendimų priėmimo procesuose, buvo suburta Vyresnio amžiaus žmonių reikalų taryba prie Socialinės apsaugos ir darbo ministerijos, kurios pagrindinis tikslas – užtikrinti veiksmingą valstybės ir savivaldybių institucijų bei įstaigų ir vyresnio amžiaus žmonių interesams atstovaujančių nevyriausybinių organizacijų bendradarbiavimą, sudarant galimybę senjorams dalyvauti sprendžiant su jais susijusius klausimus.
Siekiant mažinti socialinę atskirtį ir stiprinti vyresnio amžiaus žmonių finansinį saugumą, nuosekliai didinamos socialinio draudimo pensijas. Vidutinė senatvės pensija šiemet padidėjo apie 10,8 proc. arba 58 eurais (nuo 538 eurų iki 596 eurų), vidutinė senatvės pensija turint būtinąjį stažą – panašiai, apie 11 proc. arba 63 eurais (nuo 574 iki 637 eurų). Kiekvienam senjorui pensijos padidėjimas individualus. Įgyvendinus negalios reformą, papildomai pensijos didės senjorams, kuriems bus pripažinta sunki negalia, tai yra asmenys bus pripažinti netekusiais 70-100 procentų dalyvumo. Sunkią negalią turintiems senjorams senatvės pensijos didės nuo 7 proc. iki 50 proc. Taip pat padidėjo ir mažiausių pensijų priemokos. Nuo šių metų pradžios valstybinės pensijos indeksuotos 5,95 proc.
Siekiama užtikrinti paslaugų vyresnio amžiaus žmonėms kokybę ir prieinamumą, modernizuojama bendruomeninių socialinių paslaugų senyvo amžiaus asmenims infrastruktūra bendruomenėje, plėtojama tvari ilgalaikės priežiūros paslaugų asmens namuose sistema. Taip pat remiama vyresnių nei 54 m. amžiaus žmonių integracija į darbo rinką bei vyresnio amžiaus žmonių savarankiškas užimtumas.
Lietuvos pensininkų asociacijos „Bočiai“ surengtoje konferencijoje „Pagyvenusių žmonių veiklos gerosios patirties aktualijos“ savo šalių patirtį atvyko pristatyti ir Latvijos bei Estijos pensininkų sąjungų atstovai. Taip pat vyks dalyvių diskusija senjorų socialinės įtraukties klausimais.
