Lapkričio 21 dieną ministras Gabrielius Landsbergis nuotoliniu būdu dalyvavo JAV Valstybės sekretoriaus Antony J. Blinkeno kvietimu surengtame G7+ susitikime dėl energetinės paramos Ukrainai. Susitikime buvo aptarta pagalba Ukrainos energetikos sektoriui bei priemonės galinčios užtikrinti didesnį atsparumą.
„Lietuva, tiekdama kritiškai reikalingą įrangą, prisideda prie Ukrainos energetikos sektoriaus atstatymo. Tačiau ne mažiau svarbu yra suteikti tinkamas priemones užtikrinti infrastruktūros saugumą, todėl sprendimai dėl oro gynybos sistemų tiekimo turėtų būti priimami nedelsiant. Siekiant ilgalaikio apčiuopiamo poveikio, ne mažiau svarbios yra ir priemonės atgrasančios Rusiją, nuo tolimesnių veiksmų. Todėl sprendimai dėl „Rosatom“, ir viso Rusijos branduolinės energetikos sektoriaus įtraukimo į ES sankcijų sąrašus, turėtų būti priimami nedelsiant“, – pasisakyme pažymėjo G. Landsbergis.
Artėjant žiemai koordinuota ir savalaikė šalių techninė, karinė bei finansinė parama yra strategiškai svarbi Ukrainai siekiančiai pasiruošti artėjančiai žiemai. Susitikimo metu taip pat buvo aptarti ilgalaikiai veiksmai, kurie padės atstatyti ir modernizuoti nuo Rusijos atakų nukentėjusios Ukrainos energetikos infrastruktūrą, o ateityje padės užtikrinti modernios ir atsinaujinančia energetika grįsto ekonomikos plėtrą.
Lietuva yra daugiausiai elektros generatorių ir transformatorių Ukrainai suteikusi Europos Sąjungos valstybė. Mūsų šalies pastangomis Ukrainai tiekiami ypač reikalingi aukštos įtampos transformatoriai, generatoriai, mobilūs dyzeliniai boileriai ir kita įranga bei technika. Lietuva taip pat įgyvendino vieną iš vystomų Ukrainos atstatymo projektų – parengė energetikos infrastruktūros Ukrainos Mykolajivo srityje modernizavimo projektą.
Susitikime kartu su G7+ užsienio reikalų ministrais taip pat dalyvavo Ukrainos diplomatijos vadovas Dmytro Kuleba, Pasaulio banko, Europos rekonstrukcijos ir plėtros banko ir kitų tarptautinių organizacijų atstovai.
