Vidaus reikalų ministrė Agnė Bilotaitė susitiko su ES Tarybai pirmininkaujančios Švedijos migracijos ministre Maria Malmer Stenergard. Ministrės aptarė migracijos aktualijas ir esminius Migracijos ir prieglobsčio pakto elementus, dėl kurių Švedija šią savaitę sieks patvirtinti bendrąjį požiūrį Tarybos posėdyje.
„Suprantame ES solidarumo svarbą – susidūrę su neteisėtų migrantų antplūdžiu sulaukėme didelės ES valstybių narių ir Komisijos paramos. Su jų pagalba suvaldėme krizę ir įdiegėme vieną geriausių sienos apsaugos sistemų Europoje“, – teigia ministrė A. Bilotaitė.
Pasak ministrės, atspari piktnaudžiavimui, veiksminga ir tvari migracijos ir prieglobsčio valdymo sistema yra visų bendras tikslas, tačiau Lietuvos svarbiausias interesas – migracijos instrumentalizacijos suvaldymui skirtų priemonių nustatymas Migracijos ir prieglobsčio pakte.
Ministrės A. Bilotaitės teigimu, ES neabejotinai reikalinga esminė migracijos politikos reforma, nes ES teisė jau kuris laikas neatitinka nūdienos realijų. Ji turi būti nukreipta į aiškių ir saugių teisėto atvykimo į ES būdų nustatymą, neteisėtos migracijos prevenciją ir traukos faktoriaus mažinimą.
