Žemės ūkio ministerija (ŽŪM) birželio 9 dieną paskelbė konkursą Valstybinės maisto ir veterinarijos tarnybos (VMVT) vadovo pareigoms užimti. Naujajam vadovui, be kitų atsakomybių, teks svarbus vaidmuo ir įgyvendinant numatytą šios tarnybos reformą.
Kandidatų prašymai dalyvauti konkurse priimami per Valstybės tarnybos valdymo informacinę sistemą iki šių metų birželio 23 d. Pirmą kartą VMVT vadovo ieškoma, skelbiant konkursą įsigaliojus įstatymų pakeitimams, kuriais numatoma, kad tarnybos vadovui nėra būtinas veterinarinis išsilavinimas.
„VMVT yra Lietuvos ekonomikai ir visiems mūsų gyventojams strategiškai svarbi institucija, kuri prisiima atsakomybę tiek už mūsų maisto saugą, tiek už gyvūnų gerovę. Tarnyba turi puikių specialistų ir nuolat tobulinamą bei plečiamą technologinę bazę, tačiau tarnybos reputaciją ardo įsimetęs korupcijos pelėsis. Tikimės, kad šios institucijos vadovas taps svarbių pokyčių, susijusių su VMVT procesų efektyvumu ir skaidrinimu, įgyvendinimo lyderiu“, – pažymi žemės ūkio ministras Kęstutis Navickas.
Nuo praėjusių metų lapkričio VMVT vadovo pareigas laikinai atlieka šios tarnybos direktoriaus pavaduotoja Audronė Mikalauskienė. Ji šias pareigias užėmė po to, kai Specialiųjų tyrimų tarnyba pareiškė įtarimus korupcijos veikomis tuometiniam tarnybos vadovui direktoriui Mantui Staškevičiui bei dar keliems VMVT darbuotojams.
Pagal LR Vyriausybės kanceliarijos suformuotą kvietimą dalyvauti konkurse VMVT vadovo pareigoms užimti naujasis tarnybos vadovas bus atsakingas už skaidraus ir efektyvaus valdymo procesų įgyvendinimą, daug dėmesio skirs maisto saugos ir kokybės, lietuviško maisto eksporto, gyvūnų gerovės, kovos su gyvūnų užkrečiamosiomis ligomis klausimams, bendradarbiavimo su Europos Sąjungos ir kitomis valstybėmis plėtrai. Naujai išrinktas vadovas padės įgyvendinti pokyčius, susijusius su tarnybos reputacijos didinimu, stiprinant tarnybos atsparumą korupcijai ir skaidrinant bei efektyvinant veiklos procesus, didinant visuomenės pasitikėjimą tarnybos veikla, taip pat atskiriant kontrolės (verslo priežiūros) funkcijas nuo leidimų išdavimo ir kitos tarnybos veiklos.
Norintys konkurse dalyvauti kandidatai turi būti nepriekaištingos reputacijos, turėti ne trumpesnę kaip 3 metų vadovaujamo darbo patirtį, aukštąjį universitetinį išsilavinimą (magistro kvalifikacinį laipsnį arba baigus vientisąsias studijas įgytą magistro kvalifikacinį laipsnį) arba jam lygiavertę aukštojo mokslo kvalifikaciją ir atitikti kitus reikalavimus, su kuriais (kaip ir pareigas užimsiančiam asmeniui numatytu atlygiu ir kitomis konkurso sąlygomis) galima susipažinti viešai skelbiamose konkurso sąlygose.

Vienas svarbiausių VMVT tikslų, kad ant vartotojų stalo patektų tik saugus ir kokybiškas maistas, todėl kasmet atlieka daugiau kaip 1 mln. laboratorinių tyrimų, patikrina importuojamas, vežamas ir laikomas siuntas, kas padeda užtikrinti Lietuvos ir užsienio vartotojų pasitikėjimą Lietuvoje ir Europos Sąjungoje pagamintais maisto produktais.
