Valstybės paramą gaus 32 lituanistinio švietimo įstaigos Didžiojoje Britanijoje, 15 JAV, 8 Norvegijoje, 6 Ispanijoje , 4 – Airijoje ir Vokietijoje, 3 Švedijoje, 2 Australijoje, taip pat Argentinos Kordobos mokykla, Armėnijos Jerevano mokykla, Čilės lituanistinė mokykla, Graikijos, Sakartvelo, Islandijos, Singapūro, Taivano, Turkijos, Italijos, Japonijos, Kanados, Kazachstano Karagandos, Liuksemburgo, Urugvajaus lituanistinės mokyklos.
„Lietuva prisideda prie lituanistinio švietimo išlaikymo ir stiprinimo pasaulyje, nes norime padėti užsienyje gyvenantiems lietuviams ar jų vaikams, vaikaičiams išsaugoti tvirtus saitus su Lietuva, būti šalies ambasadoriais. Valstybės parama padeda pritraukti į lituanistinio švietimo veiklas daugiau vaikų, plėsti užsiėmimų įvairovę “, – sako viceministras Ramūnas Skaudžius.
Užsienyje veikiančios neformaliojo lituanistinio švietimo mokyklos, vykdančios lituanistinio švietimo programas, Lietuvos valstybės biudžeto lėšomis remiamos nuo 2023 metų. Kasmet vienam vaikui apskaičiuojamas bazinis lituanistinio švietimo lėšų dydis. Lėšas gali gauti tos lituanistinio švietimo įstaigos, kurios registruotos Lietuvos švietimo ir mokslo institucijų registre, o jų mokiniai – Mokinių registre, ir jų vykdomos programos atitinka bendruosius lituanistinio švietimo programų kriterijus. Lėšos lituanistinio švietimo įstaigai pervedamos einamiesiems kalendoriniams metams, lituanistinio švietimo įstaigai ir ministerijai pasirašius lituanistinio švietimo programų finansavimo ir vykdymo sutartį.
Švietimo, mokslo ir sporto ministerija lituanistinėms mokykloms šiemet skyrė beveik 1,7 mln. Eur, tai panaši suma, kaip ir pernai.
Švietimo ir mokslo institucijų registro duomenimis, užsienyje veikia 238 neformalios lituanistinės mokyklos, kuriose mokosi apie 9 tūkst. užsienio lietuvių vaikų, dirba per 1 000 mokytojų.
