Gruodžio 19 dieną Valdovų rūmuose apdovanoti mokiniai, Lietuvai atstovavę tarptautinėse olimpiadose ir konkursuose, jų mokytojai, komandų vadovai. Lietuvos mokiniai šiemet parsivežė 4 aukso, 20 sidabro, 31 bronzos medalį ir 9 pagyrimo raštus.
„Kalbėdami apie ugdymą, apie švietimo sistemą, dažnai diskutuojame, ką turėtų išmokti ir įgyti mokiniai. Dabar, atnaujinus ugdymo programas, dar labiau atsigręžiame į kompetencijas. Tai yra, svarbu ne tik turėti žinių, bet ir gebėti jas pritaikyti naujose, nepažįstamose situacijose. Jūs visi tai darote dalyvaudami konkursuose. Sprendžiate problemas, uždavinius, su kuriais nebuvote susidūrę, iš anksto nežinojote sprendimo kelio, tačiau sugebate kūrybiškai pritaikyti turimas žinias ir pasiekti rezultatą. Tai yra kompetencijos, kurios jums garantuos sėkmę ateityje”, – sveikindamas tarptautinių olimpiadų dalyvius sakė švietimo, mokslo ir sporto ministras Gintautas Jakštas.
Šiemet 24-ose įvairių dalykų tarptautinėse olimpiadose ir kituose renginiuose dalyvavo 117 Lietuvos mokinių. Dauguma parsivežė apdovanojimus.
Olimpiados nugalėtojas: žinias pritaikome praktiškai
Tarptautinio jaunių gamtos mokslų iššūkio pirmosios vietos, Tarptautinės žemės mokslų olimpiados aukso medalio, komandinio sidabro medalio ir Tarptautinės astronomijos ir astrofizikos olimpiados pagyrimo rašto laimėtojas Klaipėdos licėjaus mokinys Emilijus Latakas sako, kad jam olimpiados padeda ugdyti ištvermę, atsakomybę ir nuolat skatina tobulėti.
„Man olimpiada – tai savęs išbandymas, psichologinės ir fizinės ištvermės patikrinimas, veiksnys, skatinantis nuolat tobulėti. Jaunam žmogui olimpiada yra ta vieta, kurioje jis gali pasitikrinti savo ilgai kauptų ir atkaklaus darbo dėka įgytų žinių kraitį. Vieta, kur jis gali realiai šias žinias pritaikyti ir remdamasis jomis rasti išradingą, naujovišką požiūrį į pasaulį. Galiausiai, galime būti tarp bendraminčių, kryptingai žengiančių pažinimo keliu.
Dalyvaudami olimpiadose jaučiame atsakomybę ir pareigą pasirodyti kuo geriau, duoti grįžtamąjį ryšį daug pastangų ir laiko į mus investavusiems mokytojams ir tėvams“, – teigia E. Latakas.
Jaunieji Lietuvos geografai pelnė keliolika medalių
Dosniausi metai šiemet buvo jauniesiems geografams. Jie pasižymėjo net trijose tarptautinėse olimpiadose: pelnė du aukso medalius, taip pat šešis sidabro bei septynis bronzos. Puikius rezultatus pademonstravo ir Žemės mokslų olimpiadoje Lietuvai atstovavusi komanda. Tarptautinėje jaunių gamtos mokslų olimpiadoje Lietuvos mokiniai buvo apdovanoti dviem sidabro ir keturiais bronzos medaliais.
Auksas ir sidabras – fizikams, chemikams, matematikams, informatikams
Tarptautinėse olimpiadose šiemet sekėsi ir jauniesiems fizikams, kurie iš tarptautinių renginių grįžo su vienu aukso, trimis sidabro bei bronzos medaliais, vienu pagyrimo raštu.
Chemijos olimpiadose taip pat buvo pelnyti medaliai: vienas sidabro ir trys bronzos. Jaunieji matematikai, dalyvavę trijose tarptautinėse olimpiadose, buvo apdovanoti po vieną sidabro ir bronzos medalį, keturiais pagyrimo raštais, komandinėje įskaitoje jie pelnė trečiąją vietą.
Iš informatikos olimpiados parsivežtas vienas sidabro ir keturi bronzos medaliai.
Astronomijos ir astrofizikos olimpiadoje Lietuvos mokinių atstovai iškovojo vieną bronzos medalį ir du pagyrimo raštus, o praktinėje gamtos mokslų olimpiadoje – komandinį sidabro medalį.

Laimėjimas Europos Sąjungos jaunųjų mokslininkų konkurse
Nuotoliniu būdu vykusioje jaunių gamtos olimpiadoje mūsų šalies mokiniai pelnė šešias prizines vietas.
Europos Sąjungos jaunųjų mokslininkų konkurse Lietuvos atstovė buvo apdovanota specialiuoju prizu.
Sekėsi kalbų olimpiadose
Lietuvos mokiniai gana gerai pasirodė ir užsienio kalbų olimpiadose – tarptautinėje lenkų kalbos olimpiadoje buvo pelnyta antroji vieta, o Baltijos šalių prancūzų kalbos olimpiadoje – komandinės pirmoji, antroji bei trečioji vietos. Lietuvos mokiniai taip pat dalyvavo ir buvo įvertinti filosofijos, vokiečių kalbos olimpiadose, Pasaulio individualių debatų ir oratorinio meno čempionate, Pasauliniame komandinių debatų čempionate.
Mokinių dalyvavimą tarptautiniuose konkursuose ir olimpiadose organizuoja Švietimo, mokslo ir sporto ministerija ir Lietuvos neformaliojo švietimo agentūra.
