Pasak Lietuvos startuolių atstovų, nors anglų kalba suprantama beveik visame pasaulyje ir ja bendraujant paprastai nekyla sunkumų, norint kurti tvarias partnerystes ir sėkmingus verslo santykius, vietinė kalba būtina daugumoje Europos ir pasaulio rinkų.
Asociacijos „Unicorns Lithuania“ vadovė Inga Langaitė sako, kad atsižvelgiant į tai, kuriose rinkose verslas veikia ar į kurias siekia plėstis, tas kalbas mokančių specialistų jiems ir reikia. Kai kurios užsienio kalbos gali aprėpti kelių valstybių rinkas, pvz., ispanų, prancūzų, vokiečių kalbomis kalbama ne tik keliose valstybėse, bet ir keliuose kontinentuose, tad jas mokantys specialistai yra paklausiausi.
„Lietuvoje žmonių, gerai kalbančių ne tik anglų, bet ir kitomis Europos Sąjungos kalbomis, trūksta. Tą trūkumą dažniausiai „dengia“ užsienyje studijavusieji ir tam tikrą kalbą puikiai įvaldę tautiečiai, arba užsienio valstybių specialistai, kuriems tos kalbos yra gimtosios“, – sako I. Langaitė.
Asociacija „Unicorns Lithuania“ vienija beveik 90 šalies startuolių, tarp kurių ir savo veiklą neseniai pradėję verslai, ir pirmaisiais Lietuvos vienaragiais vardijamos įmonės, kurių vertė viršija milijardą USD. Pasak asociacijos vadovės, daugumos lietuviškų startuolių oficiali kalba yra anglų – ja rašomi dokumentai, vyksta visa vidinė komunikacija. Pagrindinė to priežastis – tarptautinės komandos, suburtos iš įvairių užsienio šalių atstovų, dirbančių ne tik Lietuvoje.
„Kalbėti angliškai dabar yra tiesiog savaime suprantamas dalykas, kartais apie tai darbuotojų net neklausiama, nes kitaip ir būti negali. Tuo tarpu darbuotojo gebėjimas kalbėti daugiau užsienio kalbų yra vertinamas kaip didžiulis privalumas, galintis užtikrinti ir didesnį atlyginimą, ir greitesnį kilimą karjeros laiptais“, – sako I. Langaitė.
Specialybė + užsienio kalbos = sėkminga karjera
„Unicorns Lithuania“ vadovei antrina kibernetinio saugumo startuolio „Surfshark“ atstovai.
2018 m. startavusi kompanija prieš metus, 2022 m., kartu su kita kibernetinio saugumo kompanija „Nord Security“, tapo antruoju Lietuvos vienaragiu ir šiuo metu turi per 300 darbuotojų Lietuvoje, Lenkijoje ir Vokietijoje. Pasak Beatričės Leikaitės, „Surfshark“ samdos vadovės, įmonės vidaus komunikacija vyksta anglų kalba, o už tam tikras rinkas atsakingiems darbuotojams reikalingos ir prancūzų bei vokiečių kalbos. Ji pasakoja, jog vokiškai kalbančių lietuvių rasti dar pavyksta, nors turinčiųjų reikiamas kompetencijas ir nėra daug. Tačiau ieškodami Prancūzijos rinkai vadovauti galinčių žmonių, jie pasamdė Lietuvoje gyvenantį prancūzą.
„Norint užimti aukštesnes pozicijas, pavyzdžiui, tam tikros rinkos vadovo, reikalingos ne tik kalbos, bet ir atitinkamos profesinės kompetencijos. Todėl būsimiems specialistams, studentams tikrai prasminga neapleisti užsienio kalbų – ne anglų kalbos, – mokymosi aukštosiose mokyklose, rinktis gretutines kalbos studijas, kalbos tobulinimu paremtas stažuotes, išnaudoti visas galimybes išmokti daugiau kalbų“, – kalba B. Leikaitė. Anot jos, lietuviškam verslui globalėjant užsienio kalbos darbuotojams bus vis svarbesnės. Ir tai galioja ne tik vokiečių ir prancūzų kalboms, bet ir ispanų, kinų, net arabų.
„Angliškai puikiai kalba absoliuti dauguma dabartinių specialistų, tad antroji užsienio kalba yra puiki priemonė išsiskirti, – tęsia pašnekovė. – Be to, jau tampa įprasta darbuotojų į aukštesnes pozicijas ieškoti ne tik vietinėje rinkoje, bet ir užsienyje. Taigi mokant vokiečių ar prancūzų kalbas atsiveria galimybės dirbti kompanijose Vokietijoje ar Prancūzijoje arba tarptautinių kompanijų padaliniuose Lietuvoje“.
Vietinei kalbai – pirmenybė
„Niekada sąmoningai neplanavau savo ateities sieti su Vokietija, viskas įvyko savaime. Tikriausiai studijų metu susipratau, kad tokių žmonių kaip aš – kalbančių vokiškai ir turinčių specializaciją, – yra nedaug ir tai labai didelis mano privalumas darbo rinkoje. Be to, studijuodama ir dirbdama Vokietijoje pamačiau, kokia tai didžiulė rinka ir kiek daug ten galimybių“, – sako Monika Šačkutė, „Surfshark“ vadovė Vokietijos rinkai.
Vokiečių kalbos M. Šačkutė pradėjo mokytis mokykloje, antroje klasėje. Pasakoja, jog tuo metu tai buvo labai nepopuliarus sprendimas, nes pirmąja užsienio kalba visi rinkosi anglų kalbą.
Studijų metu pašnekovė neapleido vokiečių kalbos mokymosi ir būtent kalbos žinios leido jai pagal „Erasmus“ mainų programą išvykti mokytis į Leipcigo universitetą, o vėliau ji verslo administravimo studijas tęsė Berlyne.
„Dauguma vokiečių kalba angliškai ir tikrai darbo reikalus galėtume tvarkyti šia kalba. Bet kai kalbamės vokiškai, ryšys yra pozityvesnis, daugiau informacijos pateikiama, lengviau, geranoriškiau sprendžiamos problemos, santykis šiltesnis. O tai reiškia ir daugiau galimybių sėkmingai dirbti“, – sako M. Šačkutė.
Be to, tęsia ji, verslas visada ieško galimybių plėstis, augti. Vokietija yra viena didžiausių pasaulio ekonomikų bei viena iš Lietuvos strateginių partnerių, tad įvairių sričių specialistų kalbančių vokiškai poreikis nemažės.
Argumentai jaunajai kartai
„Kiekviena užsienio kalba greta anglų gali būti vertinama kaip papildoma galimybė. Kalbos ne tik „atrakina“ naujas duris, bet ir suteikia didžiulį malonumą, kai nuvykęs svetur, gali laisvai susikalbėti su vietiniais. Žmonėms malonu, kai su jais bendrauji jų gimtąją kalba, tuomet jie atviresni, draugiškesni“, – kalba M. Šačkutė.
„Vaikams kartais atrodo, kad visas pasaulis, visas internetas kalba angliškai ir kitų kalbų nereikia. Bet pakeliavus net ir Europos Sąjungoje labai greitai pamatysi, kad ir Ispanijoj, ir Graikijoj, ir Prancūzijoj, Italijoj ne taip ir paprasta susikalbėti angliškai. Tad kelionės, taip pat mokyklų mainų programos, gyvenimo kitakalbėse šeimose patirtys – tai, ko gero, svariausi argumentai ir motyvacinės priemonės vaikams mokytis užsienio kalbų“, – sako „Unicorns Lithuania“ vadovė I. Langaitė.
