Liepos 1 dieną į įžanginę diskusiją Švietimo, mokslo ir sporto ministerijoje susirinkusiems sporto šakų federacijų ir skėtinių sporto organizacijų atstovams pristatytas ir aptartas tarptautinių aukšto meistriškumo sporto varžybų finansavimo modelio projektas. Siūloma, kad aukšto meistriškumo sporto varžybos galėtų būti finansuojamos ne tiktai konkurso tvarka, kaip dabar, tačiau ir ne konkurso būdu.
Ne konkurso tvarka galėtų būti finansuojamos tik tos sporto varžybos, kurioms reikalingas itin didelis biudžetas ir valstybės parama bei pritarimas. Pvz., pasaulio, Europos čempionatai, olimpinės atrankos varžybos ir pan. Modelio tvarkos apraše taip pat būtų detaliai numatyta, kokias procedūras reikės atlikti norint gauti finansavimą, kokius kriterijus turi atitikti varžybų organizatoriai, kiek turėtų prisidėti savivaldybė, federacija ir kt. Numatoma, kad per metus galėtų būti finansuojamos vienos ar dvejos tarptautinės varžybos.
Taip pat siūloma patobulinti ir dabartinį finansavimą konkurso būdu. Tarptautinių aukšto meistriškumo sporto varžybų finansavimui konkurso būdu kasmet skiriama suma – apie 1 mln. Eur, ji išliktų tokia pati ir ateityje. Siūloma naujovė – skirstyti lėšas į du finansavimo „krepšelius“. Jiems būtų taikomi skirtingi reikalavimai. Iš pirmojo „krepšelio“ pinigus gautų mažesnės apimties ir biudžeto pasaulio, Europos čempionatai, kurie pagal kriterijus nepatektų į finansavimą ne konkurso būdu. Į antrąjį „krepšelį“ patektų žemesnio rango tarptautinės varžybos. Taip pat diskutuota, ar gavusi finansavimą federacija į kitą finansavimą galėtų vėl pretenduoti po metų.
Atskiriant aukšto meistriškumo sporto varžybas į dvi kategorijas, būtų sudarytos lygesnės galimybės visiems konkuruoti su panašaus rango ir dydžio varžybomis. Didelio masto varžybos konkuruotų su panašaus dydžio sporto renginiais, tas pat galiotų ir mažesnio masto varžyboms. Pagal dabar galiojančią sistemą tiek pasaulio čempionatai, tiek tarptautiniai tradiciniai turnyrai konkuruoja tarpusavyje, nors jų biudžetai, svarba ekonominiu ir šalies reprezentacijos atžvilgiu labai nevienodi. Išskiriant atskirus finansavimo „krepšelius“ būtų atliepiami svarbūs ir skirtingi tikslai – pritraukti didelius sporto renginius į Lietuvą ir plėtoti mažiau populiarias sporto šakas per tarptautinius turnyrus.
„Tikimės, kad atnaujinus tarptautinių sporto varžybų finansavimo tvarką, didelio masto ir aukšto rango tarptautinių varžybų rengimo procesas Lietuvoje bus planuojamas iš anksto, kryptingai planuojamos aukšto meistriškumo sporto varžybos, pasirengiama jų finansavimui iš anksto. Tokių varžybų organizavimas Lietuvoje prisidės prie šalies ekonomikos augimo, sporto šakų populiarinimo, jų plėtros, sporto turizmo, skatins aukštą sportinį meistriškumą“, – sako švietimo, mokslo ir sporto viceministrė Aistė Zedelytė-Kaminskė.
Po diskusijų bus rengiamas tarptautinių aukšto meistriškumo sporto varžybų finansavimo aprašo projektas ir derinamas su sporto bendruomene. Jau rudenį planuojame kviesti federacijas teikti savo paraiškas tarptautinių varžybų organizavimui Lietuvoje finansuoti.
