Rugsėjo 23-24 dienomis Lietuvos Respublikos ambasadoje Airijoje iš Lietuvos ir Jungtinės Karalystės atvykę skautų vadovai vedė mokymus būsimiems skautams, padėjo jiems įkurti pirmąjį Lietuvių skautų sąjungos padalinį Airijos saloje.
Iš Londono atvykęs Lietuvių skautų sąjungos (LSS) Europos rajono vadovas Ornandas Kuzminskas ir šiauliečiai vadovai Katarina Marija Nizovec bei Edvinas Šereiva dalijosi praktine patirtimi, kaip sudominti vaikus jungtis į skautų judėjimą, kaip ugdyti jų kūrybiškumą, dėstė skautijos judėjimo istoriją, aiškino skautų organizacijos veiklos tikslus, principus bei formas, organizacijos struktūros ypatumus.
Netrūko ir praktinių užsiėmimų: mokytasi raportuoti, žygiuoti, užrišti įvairius mazgus, sukurti laužą, pastatyti trikojį ir dar daugelio gudrybių. Praktiniai užsiėmimai baigėsi laiško vyriausiajai skautininkei rašymu pranešant apie naujos skautų skilties Airijoje sukūrimą.
„Skautų judėjimas ugdo dorą, atsakingą, patriotišką asmenybę. Todėl džiaugiuosi, kad ir tarp Airijos lietuvių yra tų, kuriuos įkvepia daugybės skautų Lietuvos laisvės kovotojų, skautų signatarų, skauto Prezidento Valdo Adamkaus pavyzdžiai.
