Gegužės 3 d. Užsienio reikalų viceministrė Berlyne susitiko su Vokietijos valstybės ministre, A. Lührmann, aptarti Europos ir klimato klausimus. Susitikimo metu buvo aptarta ES plėtros ir institucinės reformos, sankcijos Rusijai ir Baltarusijai, ES migracijos politika bei ES-Kinijos santykiai.
“Vokietija ir Lietuva sutaria, kad Ukraina, nepaisant vykstančios Rusijos agresijos, sparčiai įgyvendina vidaus reformas, tad reikalinga didesnė ES šalių ir Europos Komisijos parama užtikrinti reformų tęstinumą ir šalies europinį pasirinkimą”, – pažymėjo J. Neliupšienė. Abi šalys sutinka, kad ES taip pat turi numatyti finansinę paramą šalies atstatymui.
Susitikime su Vokietijos ekonomikos ir klimato ministerijos valstybės sekretoriumi, S. Giegold, aptartos ES sankcijos Rusijai ir Baltarusijai bei jų įgyvendinimas. Pokalbio metu aptartos galimos bendros iniciatyvos, kurios galėtų padėti išspręsti sankcijų apėjimo klausimą.
J. Neliupšienė taip pat susitiko su Vokietijos užsienio reikalų ministerijos Politikos direktore, T. Bellmann. Susitikimo metu aptarta parama Ukrainai, saugumo situacija regione, pasirengimas liepos mėnesį vyksiančiam NATO viršūnių susitikimui Vilniuje, bei dvišaliai Lietuvos ir Vokietijos santykiai.
Vizito Berlyne metu, J. Neliupšienė, taip pat dalyvavo diskusijoje su Vokietijos tarptautinio saugumo politikos instituto (SWP) vadovybe, dėl ES plėtros, ateities, saugumo situacijos, paramos Ukrainai bei kitų, aktualių, tarptautinės darbotvarkės klausimų.
