Švietimo, mokslo ir sporto ministerijos bei Lietuvos mokslo tarybos atstovai lankėsi Norvegijoje, kur aptarė Lietuvos ir Norvegijos mokslo politiką ir bendradarbiavimo galimybes. Tikimasi, kad geroji Norvegijos praktika ir glaudesnis šalių bendradarbiavimas padės tobulinti mokslinių tyrimų prioritetų nustatymo ir įgyvendinimo procesus Lietuvoje.
Vizito metu Lietuvos delegacija susipažino su Norvegijos mokslinių tyrimų finansavimo modeliu, kai į procesą aktyviai įsitraukia visos ministerijos, nustatydamos prioritetus ir skirdamos lėšas mokslo projektams. Pabrėžta glaudi sąveika tarp finansuojančių institucijų, inovacijų agentūrų, universitetų ir mokslo parkų, kuri leidžia efektyviai komercializuoti tyrimus bei skatinti inovacijas.
Lietuvos delegacija lankėsi Norvegijos mokslo taryboje, Bioekonomikos tyrimų institute, Gyvybės mokslų universitete, taip pat Oslo mokslo parke, kuris šiuo metu vienija apie 300 akademinių ir verslo sričių įmonių, iš kurių apie 190 yra startuoliai.
Parke plėtojamos keturios sritys: gyvybės mokslai, sveikata, technologijos ir energetika. Ši erdvė skirta ne tik verslui, bet ir moksliniams tyrimams, todėl parke veikia įvairios laboratorijos, kuriose atliekami biotechnologiniai eksperimentai. Bendrosios parko erdvės veikia kaip neformali susitikimų vieta, skatinanti bendradarbiavimą tarp mokslo ir pramonės atstovų. Parke veikia keli sėkmingi klasteriai ir tyrimų tinklai, orientuoti į technologijas, mobilumą, žiniasklaidą, sveikatą, klimatą, energetiką ir nanotechnologijas.
Vizitas buvo finansuojamas iš 2014–2020 m. Europos ekonominės erdvės ir Norvegijos finansinių mechanizmų Baltijos mokslinių tyrimų programos Dvišalio bendradarbiavimo fondo, kuris yra skirtas dvišalių santykių tarp Lietuvos ir valstybių donorių – Islandijos Respublikos, Lichtenšteino Kunigaikštystės ir Norvegijos Karalystės – stiprinimui.
