Rugsėjo 29 d. iš Venesuelos į Vilnių atskrido lietuvių kilmės keturių asmenų šeima. Tai jau dvidešimtas perkėlimas, kurį suorganizavo Lietuvos ambasada Ispanijoje.
Lietuvos institucijos bendromis pastangomis pasirūpins laikinu šeimos apgyvendinimu, padės ieškoti darbo, sudarys galimybę mokytis lietuvių kalbos ir integruotis Lietuvos visuomenėje.
Lietuvos diplomatinėmis pastangomis iš krizės apimtos Venesuelos į mūsų šalį jau pavyko perkelti 134 perkeliamojo asmens statusą turinčius asmenis. Jie labai dėkingi už suteiktą galimybę grįžti į savo tėvų ir senelių gimtinę ir čia pradėti naują gyvenimą. Labiausiai atvykusieji vertina saugumą, stabilumą, patogumus – šildymą, elektrą, sveikatos, švietimo paslaugas ir t.t.
