Prasidėjus NATO viršūnių susitikimui vidaus reikalų ministrė Agnė Bilotaitė Policijos departamente susitiko su Latvijos, Estijos ir Moldovos policijos ir pasienio tarnybų atstovais.
Ministrė A. Bilotaitė dėkojo už bendrą minėtų šalių tarnybų darbą užtikrinant viešąjį saugumą regione, pagalbą NATO renginio metu ir bendras pastangas karo draskomai Ukrainai. Susitikime dėl karo padėties negalėjo dalyvauti Ukrainos tarnybų atstovai.
„Turėdami patikimus partnerius šalia, tampame stipresni ir atsparesni iššūkiams, provokacijų ir grėsmių rizikai. Kai prie mūsų sienų yra du nenuspėjami autoritariniai režimai, abipusė parama ir bendradarbiavimas yra neįkainojami. Mūsų bendradarbiavimas įrodo, kad galime ir privalome dirbti kartu siekdami užtikrinti stabilumą ir saugumą regione ir pasaulyje“, – sakė ministrė A. Bilotaitė.
Pasak vidaus reikalų ministrės, Lietuva, Latvija ir Estija, būdamos Europos Sąjungos šeimos narėmis, remia Moldovos ir Ukrainos eurointegracinius siekius.
„Esu įsitikinusi, kad netrukus galėsime dirbti su Moldova ir Ukraina kaip stipriomis mūsų sąjungininkėmis euroatlantinėse organizacijose. Ukraina šiuo metu susiduria su kritiniais iššūkiais, kuriems reikia skirti didžiausią dėmesį. Suprantame, kad pagrindinis jų dėmesys yra ginti savo šalį ir kuo greičiau pasiekti pergalę prieš agresorių“, – teigė vidaus reikalų ministrė.
Lietuva sutelkė maksimalias pastangas, kad užtikrintų nenutrūkstamą paramos srautą Ukrainai.
Vidaus reikalų sistemos palaikymas apima ginklus, gaisrų gesinimo ir gelbėjimo įrangą, apsaugos priemones, maistą ir kitus daiktus. Taip pat išsiųsti ekspertai padėjo Ukrainos valdžiai tirti karo nusikaltimus ir išminuoti šalies teritoriją.
Be to, per karą nukentėjusiems Ukrainos teisėsaugos pareigūnams buvo suteiktos reabilitacijos paslaugos gydymo įstaigose.
„Niekada neturime pavargti remdami Ukrainą siekiant taikos, stabilumo, teritorinio vientisumo ir galiausiai teisingumo“, – susitikime pabrėžė ministrė A. Bilotaitė.
Lietuva taip pat visapusiškai remia Moldovą ir yra pasirengusi suteikti savo paramą bei patirtį visose vidaus reikalų srityse. Susitikimo metu ministrė A. Bilotaitė pranešė, kad Moldovai bus dovanotas naujas policijos automobilis. Tokią pat transporto priemonę gaus ir Ukrainos policijos kolegos.
