„Azerbaidžanui karinėmis priemonėmis perėmus Kalnų Karabacho kontrolę, daugiau nei 100 tūkst. Karabacho armėnų pasitraukė į Armėniją. Pabėgėlių antplūdis – tai dar vienas iššūkis demokratiškai Armėnijos vyriausybei, siekiančiai normalizuoti santykius su kaimynėmis, diversifikuoti savo prekybos ir saugumo partnerystes, patiriančiai augantį Rusijos spaudimą ir hibridines atakas. Tvirtai remiame Armėnijos nepriklausomybę, suverenitetą, teritorinį integralumą ir pasirinktą demokratinio vystymosi kelią. Raginame ES ir jos valstybes nares stiprinti paramą bei gilinti ryšius su Armėnija“, – pažymi užsienio reikalų ministras Gabrielius Landsbergis.

Lėšos iš Lietuvos Respublikos Vyriausybės rezervo bus pervestos Užsienio reikalų ministerijai. Vyriausybė taip pat suteikė Armėnijos prašomą humanitarinę pagalbą daiktais.
