Vidaus reikalų ministerijoje buvo pristatyti projekto „Skubus atsakas dėl neproporcingo trečiųjų valstybių piliečių antplūdžio į Lietuvą iš Baltarusijos“ rezultatai, įteiktos padėkos.
„Šis didžiulis ir itin sėkmingai įgyvendintas projektas yra puikus pavyzdys, kaip krizių ir neramumų akivaizdoje geba susitelkti ir bendradarbiauti skirtingos institucijos. Įgytas įdirbis įgalino mus dar efektyviau valdyti tokias krizes ateityje“, – baigiamajame renginyje sakė vidaus reikalų viceministras, šio projekto Stebėsenos komiteto pirmininkas Arnoldas Abramavičius.
Beveik dvejus metus trukęs projektas padėjo spręsti problemas, kilusias dėl didelio trečiųjų šalių piliečių antplūdžio į Lietuvos teritoriją ir dėl to kilusio išskirtinio spaudimo Lietuvos prieglobsčio bei migracijos sistemoms.
Projektu buvo siekiama efektyviau užtikrinti prieglobsčio procedūrų įgyvendinimą, tinkamas prieglobsčio prašytojų priėmimo ir apgyvendinimo sąlygas, taip pat tinkamas sąlygas pažeidžiamoms grupėms.
Bendras veiklas įgyvendino Vidaus reikalų ministerija kartu su pagrindiniu projekto partneriu – Valstybės sienos apaugos tarnyba ir kitomis jai pavaldžiomis įstaigomis – Policijos departamentu, Migracijos departamentu, Medicinos centru, Viešojo saugumo tarnyba, Turto valdymo ir ūkio departamentu, taip pat su Socialinės apsaugos ir darbo, Sveikatos apsaugos, Švietimo, mokslo ir sporto ministerijomis, Pabėgėlių priėmimo centru.
Sėkmingai įgyvendintas projektas buvo finansuotas Europos Komisijos iš Prieglobsčio, migracijos ir integracijos fondo bei valstybės biudžeto bendrojo finansavimo lėšomis.
