Susitikimo metu aptartas NATO vaidmuo užtikrinant transatlantinį saugumą, Aljanso gynybos ir atgrasymo priemonių įgyvendinimas, Lietuvos gynybos pajėgumų didinimas, taip pat NATO rytų flange reikiamos priemonės atremti Rusijos grėsmę.
„Rusija išlieka didžiausia tiesiogine grėsme visam Aljansui. Vilniaus NATO viršūnių susitikimo sprendimų įgyvendinimas ir Aljanso karinės galios didinimas yra būtini elementai užtikrinti Europos kontinento saugumą“, – susitikimo metu teigė ministras.
