Minint trečiąsias suklastotų prezidento rinkimų Baltarusijoje metines, vidaus reikalų viceministras Arnoldas Abramavičius dalyvavo Medininkų pasienio kontrolės punkte vykusioje spaudos konferencijoje, kurioje aptartos grėsmės, susijusios su gyventojų vykimu į Baltarusiją, pristatyti pasienio kontrolės punktuose įrengti stendai – primenantys rekomendaciją Lietuvos piliečiams nevykti į Baltarusiją, nerizikuoti savo saugumu.
Pastaruoju metu suintensyvėjus Baltarusijos institucijų priešiškiems ir provokaciniams veiksmams prieš Lietuvos piliečius, jau esančius ar laikinai atvykusius į šalį, gyventojai raginami nevykti į šalį. Lietuvos piliečiai gali būti neteisėtai sulaikomi, jiems pateikus išgalvotus kaltinimus. Keliaujantys Lietuvos piliečiai yra apklausinėjami pasienio punktuose, pasitelkiant šantažą ir psichologinį spaudimą, verčiami bendradarbiauti. Pasienyje vykstančių apklausų metu iš keliaujančiųjų paimami išmanieji įrenginiai – telefonai, kompiuteriai, tikrinami kontaktai, susirašinėjimai bei kita informacija, kuri vėliau gali būti panaudota ne tik prieš juos, bet ir prieš jų šeimos narius, artimuosius, pažįstamus.
„Lietuvos piliečiai Baltarusijoje gali pakliūti į įvairias provokacines situacijas. Į jas gali pakliūti ir mūsų pareigūnai bei valstybės tarnautojai. Todėl griežta Vidaus reikalų ministerijos rekomendacija – išvengti kelionių į Baltarusiją, net pačiais nekalčiausiais tikslais”, – teigė vidaus reikalų viceministras A. Abramavičius.
2021 metų liepą, kai A. Lukašenkos režimas priėmė sprendimą Lietuvos diplomatinį atstovavimą Baltarusijoje sumažinti iki minimumo, t. y. iki vieno Lietuvos diplomato, atitinkamai drastiškai sumažėjo Lietuvos ambasados galimybės operatyviai reaguoti į visus galimus konsulinius atvejus. Dauguma atvejų padėti Lietuvos piliečiams dėl agresyvių ir neteisėtų Baltarusijos valdžios veiksmų galimybės yra ribotos.
Pristatyti ir šiuo metu šešiuose pasienio kontrolės punktuose pastatyti stendai, kuriuose primenama ir toliau galiojanti Užsienio reikalų ministerijos rekomendacija Lietuvos piliečiams nevykti į Baltarusiją, o tiems, kurie šiuo metu yra ten, nedelsiant išvykti iš šalies. Lietuvos piliečių kelionės į Baltarusiją, ignoruojant Užsienio reikalų ministerijos rekomendacijas, kelia grėsmę jų pačių saugumui, sveikatai ir gyvybei.
