Gegužės 4 dieną Šardžoje, Jungtiniuose Arabų Emyratuose (JAE), vyko Lietuvos ir JAE verslo forumas, kurio metu Lietuvos prekybos, pramonės ir amatų rūmų asociacija (LPPARA) pasirašė savitarpio supratimo memorandumą su JAE prekybos ir pramonės rūmų federacija dėl bendros Lietuvos ir JAE verslo tarybos įsteigimo.
Lietuvos ambasadorius JAE Ramūnas Davidonis teigė, kad šis svarbus žingsnis įsteigti dvišalę verslo tarybą parodo bendrą Lietuvos ir JAE įsipareigojimą toliau stiprinti ekonominį bendradarbiavimą ir siekti bendrų prekybinių tikslų.
Dvišalio verslo forumo metu ambasadorius R. Davidonis pristatė Lietuvos ekonominę ir verslo aplinką, prioritetinius investicijų pritraukimo sektorius ir dvišalio ekonominio bendradarbiavimo tarp Lietuvos ir JAE perspektyvas.
Renginio metu ambasadorius R. Davidonis kartu su LPPARA viceprezidentu Zigmantu Dargevičiumi susitiko su JAE prekybos ir pramonės rūmų federacijos vicepirmininku bei Šardžos prekybos ir pramonės rūmų pirmininku J. E. Abdullah Sultanu Al Owaisu. Susitikimo metu aptarta tolesnė Lietuvos ir JAE verslo tarybos veikla, investicijų ir prekybinių ryšių tarp abiejų šalių verslų skatinimas bei planuojami vizitai.
Verslo forume dalyvavo apie 100 verslų ir asociacijų atstovų iš Lietuvos ir JAE.
Lietuvos ir JAE verslo forumą organizavo LPPARA, kartu su JAE prekybos ir pramonės rūmų asociacija ir Šardžos prekybos ir pramonės rūmais.
