Šiemet jie skirti keturiems žmonėms. Dr. Boguslavas Gruževskis, Lietuvos socialinių mokslų centro direktorius, apdovanotas už ilgametį atsakingą ir rezultatyvų darbą socialinių mokslų tyrimų srityje, siekiant juo grįstų viešosios politikos sprendimų ir inovacijų diegimo, stiprinant mokslo, verslo ir visuomenės sanglaudą, pedagoginę veiklą ir indėlį į institucinę plėtrą.

Garbės ženklas skirtas Aidui Aldakauskui, Nacionalinės švietimo agentūros Kokybės vertinimo departamento direktoriui, – už profesionalias iniciatyvas, įkvepiančią lyderystę ir svarų indėlį formuojant bei įgyvendinant strateginius Lietuvos švietimo tikslus.
Garbės ženklas yra ministerijos aukščiausias apdovanojimas, skiriamas švietimui ir mokslui ypač nusipelniusiems asmenims pagerbti. Apdovanojimas įsteigtas 2007 m. Pirmasis ministerijos garbės ženklas buvo įteiktas daktarei Meilei Lukšienei.
